What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

YxNPQUy.jpeg

Tribal Spear. 2010 Bose/Case collab.
Beautiful lines and a great stag coat.

In between diabolical rain we had patches of sun,the Bats made me laugh.

Its all over England lately, people knitting funny things around lamposts or on top of post boxes etc.,its very quaint English.

I tried to feed the swans who followed me along the river with my donuts the gulls dived in regardless of size and stole some bits.

A lot of history around this way.

If you like cars a bit of info.

Under the roof where the Union flag is flying (its only a Union Jack if on a ship) you will find the last off the production line plastic bumper MGB in a rather fetching beige/brown trim. 😁

Sadly Californian emission controls led to the demise of the company.

Its a little town museum they had to take the windows out and use a crane to get it in.

During the war MGB switched to aircraft production

Great photos and a Great to Find old Lambfoot Barlow my friend . It has been a Treat to even see it . Carry in good health on your little excursions Johnny .

I’m visualizing a day when a few of us porch dwellers can get around a fire with some good beverages, joined by the author of this calendar to make us laugh, knowing that none of us really graduated past our middle school humor sensibilities. I would enjoy that group 😂. Oh yeah, and there would be fine knives of course.
At my age , I find myself having a lot of Memory Flashbacks at Floppy Disc speeds . Some of the best memories are the Too Few Times that I have been able to sit around with People of Like Minds discussing fine knives . Some people have Old and New knives that just makes me feel very good .
Edited to add : As Jeff Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund suggested , a few of us have gotten together before the Badger Blade Show in Janesville , Wisconsin the last few years for breakfast and coffee and then there is also the GEC Rendezvous .

Mostly flying my desk today. We had Coco at the Vet yesterday and she is coming along nicely - shine back in her coat and bright shiny eyes and much more perky. Snowed again last night so I'll go out and shovel some snow later. This Lambfoot will do. Sausage and waffles for breakfast.

I could be content with only those two for a long time, great pairing Jon!
.
Same! And if you had to downsize to just one…who needs a wharncliffe?

Sounds like some great times Harry! I’d be all in for that. I would surely love to make it to the Rendezvous some day.

Handsome pair Jon

Fascinating!

I thought this might be of interest

Thanks a million on both accounts, Jack!
Shame about your sister’s B!
My cousin had a friend who shoehorned a Ford 289 HiPo into an MGA. Apparently it went like stink in a straight line, but understeered something fierce due to all that weight up front. Results were predictable. 😱
You're welcome Jeff, I may even have a pair squirrelled away somewhere :)
Outstanding pair
Ha, ha; it was like something out of a John Waters film. LOL o_O :)
 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks a lot for your kind words, Jack!!! :)

A wonderful Wednesday double Barlow pair of totes, very lovely images of each beauty too! Btw, your Old School Sheep Shears are amazing, as well!;)👍👍
Many thanks my friend, I am rather embarrassed by the sheep shears pic! :D
Toting these two wearing wood today. :)
It's great to see those old favourites JJ :)
Keen Kutter Barlow that was illustrated in the 1899 and 1917 catalogs .................... and the same Schrade Cut. Co. Barlow I carried yesterday, in a new picture, with the last of my Yoshino Cherry tree leaves. I did some leaf blowing and cleanup Monday, but, still a few leaves left on my trees. Off to the market for re-stocking this morning. Have a fine Thursday ! 😊

Superb photos Mr P, not to mention the subject matter!
This week I'm carrying my knives with lambsfoot blades. I don't have enough of them to choose a Top Ten, so I'm totin' all of them. Here are the two I have with rosewood covers.

Nice pairing :) RR/Marbles knives aren't quite as thrifty here, but I quite like that wee Sheepie, and picked one up myself :)

Hope everyone is having a good day :) What could be better than a Double Lambsfoot Day?! :D ;)
