What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Great break down on these two. The shield on this Craftsman has got to be one of the coolest ever for a camp knife.
Thanks, Jon. I try not to bumble around, andknock the shield loose, or crack the bone. Good knife to carry in the JohnDF JohnDF pocket slip.

Who really knows what that knife will end up looking like when it is finished ? Not me. I might put it in the Opinel drawer for a while and ponder on it. 😊

I like the wooden one the best . ................... imagine that !😍😊

Thank you Mr. Rufus !😊

It wouldn't be rude to not use your real name. There are non-member lurkers out there, one must remember. I like nick names, myself. ;)😊

Nick Primble. I like it.🤔

You must have a lot of Opinels to warrant an Opinel Drawer! I only have four, so they go in the miscellaneous cigar box.

Looking forward to how you end up on the Carve Your Own. Looks like a fun way to while away a few hours.

Beauty Gary. 😎👍

One of these peppers is several magnitudes hotter than the other. I can't remember if it was the red or the orange, though. Guess I'll be finding out the hard way. 👌

Cohutta Knives had a great table display this weekend at the Georgia Bushcraft Fall Gathering.
Esee Knives, L.T. Wright, Warlander and few other fixed blade makers also had tables. It was a perilous event for wallets but I escaped with my bank account in tact, thank you.

Thank you very much my friend, that's some sublime stag on your two Teutonic titans :)
Thanks a whole bunch, Jack!!! :)
Wishing everyone a good week :) Starting mine with these two

Old age ... the gift that keeps on giving
Have follow up medical tomorrow morning that's been scheduled for a year now, just to keep an eye on things
... That shouldn't be there and can only be seen with Ultrasound and CT
Shoes are shined, clothes laid out, shaved and haircut if any of that matters. Lucky Peanut ready to accompany

I like to look natty for the nurses.
I'm convinced I often make their day.

The wood on your Rosie looks great ! A very nice pair ! 😍 😍

Primble Primble The wooden one you say? But not EVEN YOU can find faces there 😻 (they all crept under the leaf or fled to the pile😎)

Nope, not a one Will. 🤣

I think some people may be mis reading what I wrote,I have never been in prison.

I drove a truck into the prison as a job, thats all.

Maybe they quit reading after they read you was in prison Johnny. 😲🤣 I read the whole thing and got your meaning right.

I would have hated to been low on money in those days ! 😊

Thank you Amir Fleschwund ! 😊
It might be a while. I need to ponder on it. Got a small drawer of them ............. and a vintage one on the way. At least they are very reasonably priced.
The really time consuming part was just getting the shape of a standard No. 8 right. A lot of material was removed, which is why I would recommend just buying one finished and working on it.

Metal Monday coincides with Meal In A Bag Monday this week ... spiced up and ready to heat

I like your metal knife brother Jim, but, that Birdseye Garlic chicken is about the most awful Birdseye product that I have ever tried. I reckon that explains why you have all of them seasonings. I am a garlic lover, but, the seasoning packet was awful. I think they sell one that is sweet and sour chicken that is actually very good. This explains my sad emoji. ;)😊
