What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I like your metal knife brother Jim, but, that Birdseye Garlic chicken is about the most awful Birdseye product that I have ever tried. I reckon that explains why you have all of them seasonings. I am a garlic lover, but, the seasoning packet was awful. I think they sell one that is sweet and sour chicken that is actually very good. This explains my sad emoji. ;)😊

HA !!! ... Garlic Chicken is pretty plain without doctoring up. I've eaten it weekly for about two or three years and NEVER ONCE seen a seasoning packet enclosed with it.
I used to put just olive oil, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce on it but added the other seasonings over time.
It's a Birds Eye favorite of mine because there is no seasoning or sauce packet. Just frozen veggies and chicken waiting for personalization.
In the Birds Eye rotation you'll also find Cheesy Ranch Chicken, Alfredo Chicken and Three Cheese Chicken in my freezer and I use the same seasonings on all.
And honestly, Garlic Chicken is the least tasty of all but probably the best health wise maybe, because it's simpler.

Those are the only Birds Eye meals in bag at our local Wallmart. We have a Publix that also sells Birds Eye and I'll have check for other meal options.
Rarely does a day go by that I don't consume one of those Birds Eye meals. I never get tired of it. They're all good to me.
And it's a cheap filling healthy meal. I eat the whole bag/casserole dish full at each sitting. Most days, I don't eat much else or maybe something light and/or a dessert/snack.
I also take a Thorn Basic Nutrients multivitamin along with a Calcium capsule (vitamin D included) daily ... and extra vitamin E, C from time to time. So far so good.

Couple of years ago, the meals were $4.95 each but have gone up, like everything else. Still, I don't think I could eat much better with so little effort and under $200 a month.
That leaves a dollar or two for pocket knives from time to time LOL.

Don't think I follow the cooking directions much, not sure because I haven't read them lately.
The Garlic Chicken goes into the microwave for 12:15 ... the others with cheese/sauce packets, I microwave for 13:15 to 13:30.
I have it all down to a science HA ... and it goes like clockwork, flawlessly.

In 2020/2021 when I had extensive dental work and times I couldn't chew, I tossed those Birds Eye meals (with water) in my commercial grade Vitamix blender and didn't miss a beat.

EDIT: Oh, and I eat a Del Monte snack cup or two of fruit a day ... I should probably switch to fresh fruit though. ...Oh and about 2-3Tbsp of Nate's raw unfiltered honey.
Spring water, one or two cans of pop and coffee (occasional tea) keep me more or less hydrated.

For years, I used to subscribe to Home Chef which features a rotating weekly menu with more than 30 meals to choose from at about 45min to an hour prep and cook time each.
It was expensive but I didn't mind because the meals were varied and really good. Thing was though, the service was iffy several months of the year with the hot weather we get down here.
Best part about Home Chef was no meal planning, no getting in the Jeep and shopping, no last minute runs because seasonings, oils, everything was included with Home Chef (raw) meal delivery.
Nothing came cooked and all the meals at Home Chef are truly Chef inspired. They have several on staff who come up with and test the meals before making them available.
It was convenient and I tried many seasonings, tastes, styles and dishes I might not have otherwise been exposed to except for maybe at a restaurant ... and learned to cook a little better along the way.

And to stay on topic, pile side of my lucky Peanut I'll be totin to medical in the morning ...

Congratulations  :)
Thank you Mr. Jack and it only cost me fifteen bucks .......................... then wore out approximately 3 knife blades, estimated 40 hours of work, 20 sheets of sandpaper, eighty bucks for a Pyrography kit, and now I am not quite satisfied with my effort. Could have paid eighteen bucks for a finished one and stripped the finish and went from there. The pile side turned out better to my eye, but, who the heck ever looks at the pile side ?!!! I might get my black paint out before I call it a done deal ! 🤣

Nice pic of the Hartshead !😊

Sweet! :)
I was once in this prison,no cheeky not in 1790 and not actually a prisoner.

I had to reverse a skip truck in through those double doors,I had to drop the skip down to get in.

There had been a riot not long ago so I was bit worried when the guards started joking about it 🤔 😁

Very interesting, sometimes the oldest building in a town (unlikely in Oxford!), and often worth a lot of money, either as a filming location, or as real estate
A lamb and for metal Monday a sheep. Heading to the PO to send back Coon Skinner for an exchange. Just might have to stop by my favorite bagel shop for a breakfast sandwich. 😋

Your Metal Monday Ibberson & Co is certainly a super cool historic piece history that looks awesome as a partner to your HHB beauty!:cool:👍👍

Toting these two sparkle slicers for a unusually rainy Monday. :)
Many thanks JJ, I love your two shunkley sparklers, absolutely stunning condition :)

Great little knives
I was going through my Case red bones last night and checking them for any sign of corrosion, which caused me to lay out two of my whittlers for Tuesday tote. 😊
Both of these are well made split-back pocket knives with double pinned shields, watch pocket friendly too. 😊

Thank you Mr. Jack and looks like you're set with a double dose of fine stag today ! 😍 😍
Regarding the carving adventures, I was always sure you had better sense than me. ;)🤣

Kudo's for coin and knife collections.
Hope you found your knives in good shape.

Well Mr. Rufus, the swell center whittler had a tiny spot on the small clip, which was promptly removed with Flitz. Don't like no corrosion on my high polish red bones. 😊

The knives are deeply impressive but I go for the Mercury too 😻

Thanks Will. I need to hunt that Mercury down for more pictures. Bet I can find it in one minute or less. ;)🤣
Nice Farmers Jack and half crown, although if I am gonna have a crown, it might as well be the whole crown. 😊 Nice patina too.
