Man that had to be a hard thing to do. God bless him for doing his duty, no matter how painful it must have been.He bombed the village in Sicily where his father grew up.
You've been on a rollGood rainy Friday morning. Both of these are from the 1965-1969 production era, a stag Canoe and red bone model 6207.

I usually don't pay very much attention to GEC models, but there are several models over the years that have definitely caught my eye, and these sowbellies with the clip/lambsfoot blade combo certainly fall into that "impossible to ignore" category!
Jer, that CRKT Daedalus is very cool! I waited too long to decide I wanted one, and now they're very "thin on the ground."
Splendid Case red bone trio!!
Good wood, Jeff!
Fine fall foto of your quotidian lamb, John!
Welcome back, David, and thanks for the update; your story is a real inspiration! I hope that the situation continues to improve for your wife and you!
I very rarely wear overalls (I have a pair of Big Macs from about 1972), but when I do, I've given up trying to carry a knife in a "chest pocket". Every time I have to sit on the toilet and the front of the overalls folds down, any knife in a chest pocket falls out!
Great grains!!
My purpose in life is to admire competence!
First time the annual flu shot hasn't protected me in 5 years, so I was probably "due". Pretty much over it now. Maybe the worst part was not being able to take advantage (until yesterday) of unusually nice November weather to take photos of those fine knives you sent me. (My indoor photos tend to be quite low quality.)
Great idea!!
Since life can brew up an unexpected storm almost any day, I tend to ALWAYS carry a canoe (along with whatever other knives I'm carrying).
Striking Northfield Barlow, Todd! What kind of wood is that?
Congrats on a marvelous find; the bone is outstanding!!
Thanks, Todd.
I think that set of 12 Rough Riders turned me into a RR enthusiast for life!

Sublime stag on that knife, Joshua! Churchill, right?
(Another of the relatively few GECs that have caught my fancy; wish they'd make one with a spear main.)
Thanks for the additional info.
Hope the storm ride wasn't too rough, and that the Chief-carving goes well!
Thanks for the additional info, including pics, Jeff; really impressive knife!!
That is one funky foto!
Looking good, Alan! Is that a tulip tree leaf?
(I haven't been listing the tater skin RR you sent me among my carries the past few weeks, but it's constantly in the backpack I carry daily.)
Best wishes with the critter and the copperhead!
Notable pair, Steve (as always)!!
Really like the covers on that one! Some kind of acrylic?
Couple of sturdy stag beasts, Jack!!
I admire so many of your knives, many of which are models that only appear in your posts!!

Fantastic pairing GaryThinking of my Grandfather, Army Air Corps, WW1 in France, my Dad, Coast Guard, WW2 in the South Pacific, and all those who served. Thanks for your service!
I'm a member of the DD-214 club myself, discharged from the USAF in 1973.
Today's carry.

I learn something new every day... Thanks. The younger trees in the neighborhood are changing. Our maple is about 15 years old and is still completely green.
Glad to see you enjoying your morning fire... and a good knife with a fire of its own.
