Thanks, Gary! Churchill is correct! The didn’t make any Churchills with a spear, but they did make a couple of other knives on the 35 pattern with a spear and punch.Sublime stag on that knife, Joshua! Churchill, right?
(Another of the relatively few GECs that have caught my fancy; wish they'd make one with a spear main.)
Thanks for the additional info.
Hope the storm ride wasn't too rough, and that the Chief-carving goes well!
Thanks for the additional info, including pics, Jeff; really impressive knife!!
That is one funky foto!
Looking good, Alan! Is that a tulip tree leaf?
(I haven't been listing the tater skin RR you sent me among my carries the past few weeks, but it's constantly in the backpack I carry daily.)
Best wishes with the critter and the copperhead!
Notable pair, Steve (as always)!!
Really like the covers on that one! Some kind of acrylic?
Couple of sturdy stag beasts, Jack!!
I admire so many of your knives, many of which are models that only appear in your posts!!

Thanks - I am not sure about the covers - acrylic seems like a good guess. The gold layer sits at the surface and then it is clear below that …..Sublime stag on that knife, Joshua! Churchill, right?

Thanks Bart.Thanks, Todd.
I think it has to do with age. The younger trees in the neighborhood are changing. Our maple is about 15 years old and is still completely green.
I do enjoy it. Almost the perfect knifeIn fact I carried again yesterday.

Thanks, Gary.
Can wait to see what you catch!
Dont know how you can go too long without carrying that one, but then again you have a lot of good choices![]()
Thanks John, I use that one to start my fires!Thank you, Jack.
I learn something new every day... Thanks.
Glad to see you enjoying your morning fire... and a good knife with a fire of its own.![]()
Thanks GT, things get better every day! We got a call today from the endocrinologist to say a biopsy of a nodule they found on her thyroid came back benign!Welcome back, David, and thanks for the update; your story is a real inspiration! I hope that the situation continues to improve for your wife and you!
I very rarely wear overalls (I have a pair of Big Macs from about 1972), but when I do, I've given up trying to carry a knife in a "chest pocket". Every time I have to sit on the toilet and the front of the overalls folds down, any knife in a chest pocket falls out!
Great grains!!

On the overalls I have found to carefully fold the top over in a way that keeps everything in place. But only after my '21 Forum knife took a chip after a high dive onto a tile floorView attachment 1985731
I smoothed the edges with some 1000 grit emory paper, lesson learned the hard way I reckon.
Thank you for this posting Jack Black. My mother was a welder in a shipyard during WWII. It's easy to overlook the sacrifices those back home suffered.Let's not forget the women steel workers of WWI and WWII, a lot of them died serving their country too![]()
