Thanks Jack Black Jack Black and Rufus1949 Rufus1949 I like how the pattern emerged using a second line of the embossing stamp.

Also that photo reminded me of the one from the 1906 Titusville Ironworks photo, back in the day hats were standard wear as were vests and coats, just a different era than now a days!

I love those old pics Gary :) One of my grandfathers was a wire-weaver, the other a builder, and then a linesman on the railways, neither would have dreamed of going to work without a collar and tie, a cap, and a suit (an old suit, but a suit). Even when I started work myself, in a garage, in 1977, most of the men over 30, wore a tie. Different times for sure :) Nice job on that edge my friend :)
Hi Jack,
The smaller one is from an American knifesmith, Calton. The yellow slip is by Georgi Menchev a Bulgarian craftsman.
The Menchev is built like a tank.

Thanks for the info buddy :)

From my vast knowledge that would fit in a shot glass.😁

I really enjoy the knowledge that is passed on by all the porch sitters.

John Primble India Steel Works Pillbuster (c.1890-1940) for Monday. Measures 3 & 7/8ths" closed. I took this out of the Primble Display Case last week for a while, just to give it some love. It is normally the center piece of that collection. It is a stout knife, but, won't get any hard use today. 😊

G2, I’d swear the third guy from the right was my ninth grade English teacher!

Making the hard decision of what to bring with me for a month long stint visiting the in-laws. I think I'm leaning towards taking the pioneer and the lambsfoot.
I’d go pioneer, lambsfoot, and copperhead!
