Thanks, Rob!
Bowling Green. A bit too far for you to have heard the Civil Defense sirens that always go off when we roll in.
Be right back. I’m going to go burn my knives.

Yep - you were a couple hours away. I was a bit relieved, after that post of you saying you were in Kentucky and you spooked me a bit with the knife on the Bible. Wondered if it might be end of days for me ............. Phew ! 😓

Don't burn your knives ! I'll take them ! 😲;) 🤣 I hid all mine when I saw what you posted.;)🤣

Thrilling trio of vintage knives!:thumbsup::thumbsup: (That Keen Kutter is another stunning pick bone example!)
Your memory of past events in your life is impressive, Rob! 🤓

Thanks for the listing info on that incredible knife.:thumbsup: I thought its bolster had something to do with crowns, but, as usual, I know just enough to be dangerous.😁

Thank you GT. I had some encyclopedia help on that one, since I wasn't around in the fine year of 1912. 🤣

Excellent. Thanks I needed that laugh. Hoffritz was the most amazing store.
It was!
As a teenager I used to go into the one in Kings Plaza in Brooklyn and just drool … at first they gave me a bit of a hard time about perpetually window shopping, and then after a few visits they realized I was just harmless and smitten. 😁
I did get to one of the “big” stores in the city a few times as well … next level there, and just steeped in tradition.
Amazing is an accurate description.

As a kid my gramps would take me into Manhattan and we’d eat at the $1.79 steak restaurant on 34th st and then wander around to Macy’s and Hoffritz.
