What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Northwoods Presidential seems to be a fine Sunday tote ...

The final 2 knives of the half-dozen knives J Just Tom. recently sent me are a pair of "international" knives with red synthetic handles.
One is the only knife from Poland that I have, so I'm thrilled to have it!:cool::thumbsup: The only marking on it is a tang stamp "Made in Poland", but Tom suspects it might be made by Gerlach, a Polish cutlery firm that's been around for more than 3 centuries. It's a very simple knife, 4" closed with finely-pebbled nylon-like covers, a bail, and a stainless spearpoint blade. But my experience so far is it cuts like crazy, so what more could you want from a knife? I have to decide what kind of image I'd like to put in that oval on the handle. I figure maybe I can find a good image on paper, cut it to fit, glue it in, and then "seal" over it with some kind of clear, transparent sealant/glue/whatever.

The other knife is a scout knife made by Mikov in the Czech Republic. It came in a white vinyl slip.

It has 4 blades, but no bail. The next pic features the bottle opener and can opener; it also has a spear main and a pen blade.mark.openers.eco.jpeg
I like the sleeveboard shape of the frame and the texture of the finely-checkered nylon-ish covers with the chamfered edges:

Here's a photo of the tang stamp, but I neglected to get a pic of the other side of the tang, which says "Czechoslovakia". Tom helped me get another Mikov knife about a year ago, and the tang stamp on that one said "Czech Republic". So this scout knife with "Czechoslovakia" on the tang must be NOS from prior to 1993 when the Czech Republic came into being.

Looking great Jack. 😎👍
Thank you Todd :)
I’m the one demanding that everyone wears orange on game day! Gotta keep the school spirit high! I’m sure my wife was thrilled when she discovered that I was a big fan of a school with road construction orange colors!

Great carry today sir! Love these knives!

Cool pair my friend :)

Well I went looking for something in my knife roll and discovered so so very much rust on so many of my carbon steel knives.
I keep in a knife roll, in the house in the ac. But this IS Mississippi

Anyways I cleaned this guy up and put him in my pocket a few hours ago. Just forgot how cool he really was.
