What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Man thats 2 Cozy Glen Canoes on the same page...gotta get me one of them!!! :D Hey Tex what scales are on yours?

If you like your Cozy Glen trapper, you'll really love the canoe. Mine is the Amber worm groove. The blades have a dark patina from a night we hosted a birthday party and I used it cutting several racks of ribs, chicken and fajitas. Great knife!

You guys are killing me. :( I do not have a muskrat yet. I have went after a few auction but was outbid, and then stopped. I really want an Old Timer muskrat, but would not balk at a Queen or a Case either. I have to confess, (do not be too hard on me), my last 2 knives were a Benchmade Griptilian, and a Kershaw Cyclone flipper, but I am back. The prodigal son has returned. Just so my redemption is hastened, those were both plain edge.:o

MooreMaker has a decent muskrat in horn. Camillus made if there are any left.
I got mine from the bay for a decent price

I have a wedding today. This one here may end up in my pocket today. An old Filmore from Austria. I remember reading somewhere that early Robeson imported these. For a shadow it's as stout as can be.

This morning was a workday at church. I carried my Cattle King, which is still in my pocket.

This evening is a wedding. The Queen Mini-Trapper will likely be in my pocket.

Might as well make it a Queen day: Now, this evening, I am sitting, with a Queen Country Cousin in my pocket.

I was commiserating with one of my buddies that my sharpening job on the Country Cousin wasn't yet complete. He took it, felt the edge and said, "well how much sharper do you need it. It will shave." and proceeded to shave arm hair.

I have since made it sharper.

I've been carrying my case trapper cv. I love it except how easily it rusts. I've been oiling regularly but it still has a few spots on it.

CV is a little more high maintenance but don't sweat the little stuff Georgel, its real fine steel choice for your every day carry especially on a great pattern like your Trapper!

I find washing the blade steel up with a little warm soapy water with a sponge after use, and then dry her off completely, and lastly apply your favorite lubricant works well if you want to keep CV or any carbon steel looking shiny and new... Or, you can just let her get a good smoky "storm cloud grey" patina on the blade and forget about it,, like a lot of us do will work fine too.. Either way, good for sure. :D

Carrying the Menefee Swayback today. It's already cut a big bunch of gladiolus, trimmed a few corrugated boxes for my parrots to chew, scored the insulation on some 16 ga. copper wire and sectioned some 3/4" soft acrylic tubing for my reef aquarium, yet it still managed to find the time to pose for a photo shoot, lookin' like a million bucks (no offence to Buck fans :p) all the while.

If you'd like to know where I got them or how little they cost you'd best email me.

 Maybe I took this the wrong way, but why would you include this in your posting ? You don't have pics up yet, and no one openly asked for this information .
Most members know enough to e-mail or p.m another member for information.

Quite right, Mike. It is not only not the purpose nor intent of this particular thread but also flies in the face of the non-commercial stance of this sub-forum.

Nice Buck Trapper!. I've never seen one with such colorful red swirl scales before this one. .. Whats the vintage on her? Are the scales a custom job?
