I feel your pain, my friendLeaving in a bit for an appointment with the dentist. It's never a pleasant visit since I had my jaw replaced. There's not a single procedure that they do that isn't painful. Oh well, it is what it is. Sorry if this is a downer post but it's where I'm at this morning. To make the trip to town and the dentist more enjoyable, I'm gonna carry this A. Wright two-blade Lambfoot in a nice belt sheath by Victorinox. No breakfast this morning. Gotta be all sparkly for the dentist.

Fair enough mate, I'm glad you're OKThank you, Jack. I've been around, just doing a bit more reading and a bit less posting.
I was thinking today as I was getting ready to do some outside chorin', I (like many others here) am supremely fortunate in that I can be afforded such broad variety and choices in cutting tools. However, if I had to be stuck with just a couple, I'd be pretty content with some variation of the setup below - a person can get a lot done with these tools.

Todd, I had a merino wool base layer, a thick wool sweater, a down vest, and a parka rated to -4F, far more than I would ever wear in the mountains, and I can't say that I was still toasty warm when I got back from a 7 hour stint in the market!May have to break out the old climbing gear Jack!![]()
