What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Case's new Micarta line has some really nice Micarta. I picked up the large stockman and was pleasantly surprised.

Yep, as far as I can tell, they're offering this new "Natural Canvas Micarta" in the following models: Trapper, Mini Trapper, Slimline Trapper, Swell Center Jack, Large Stockman, Russlock.

I grabbed the Large Stockman, but I may grab a Trapper too based on how good the Lg Stockman looks.

Rags to riches. 😊:

As I was coming home from eating breakfast this morning, I had already crossed the railroad tracks and was 2 blocks from home. Out of the blue, I thought that maybe I had time to run by the Rags to Riches Antique store. I had not been there in a long while and I thought I might find something nice for my son and his wife for Christmas. They get a lot of estate items there, some priced reasonable and some priced high. I stayed there for about 45 minutes, failing to find anything that I might buy as a gift. As I was headed for the door, I walked by a glass display case and noticed this set of Russell knives, all inside a little leather box and high on a shelf. I had failed to bring my close up glasses, just my driving glasses, and could make out the stampings good enough to tell they had some pedigree to them. The whole straight line set is stamped J. Russell & Co., Green River Works, which dates them from 1886-1941. It is a rare find to uncover knives like this in my local area. I came home with The whole set, which includes two more of the natural bone handled knives. Elijah J. liked them. 😊
When we forget our cheater glasses, we could whip out the old smsrt fone, take a picture, and then zoom in on it. Old guy trick. 😎
Love all four, but the pruner especially.

A couple of my favorites among your knives, Steve. Along with your Camillus Serpentine Trapper Jack…

Wow, nice finds Mr P, congratulations  I could see straight away the table cutlery wasn't English, it's in nice condition too :)

Thank you Mr. Jack. Normally the local spots in my small town have novelty knives from the 1950's or newer or modern knives. 😊

😲🤣🤣🤣 After seeing your pictures, which are hilarious by the way, you might want to add a few of them Blackjacks to your pockets on next market day ! ;)🤣
