Yesterday’s rain turned to sleet, then snow. What the meteorologists like calling “A wintry mix”.
NOTHING like what paulhilborn paulhilborn had to deal with. But my snow blower is ready.

Meteorologist is a two dollar word for weather report reader. None are as good as the late John Coleman, but WGN weatherman Tom Skilling aint bad. He’s so enthralled by weather and explaining the nuances, that he makes it very entertaining. My wife loves the guy. She’ll ask if she can turn off Perry Mason when he comes on at nine.
I just rely on looking out the window, and going out for a knife photo.

Speaking of knives, these jacks again. 4005502F-E9EB-4007-96B9-DB381FAD04D1.jpeg40AAD087-0F2F-4484-92C8-7256D3BBE105.jpeg

They were calling for 6-8" of snow today. Instead, we've had sleet since 4AM, and the temp is hovering around 34. What a sloppy mess!

I'm about to try out some beans that my sister sent me from WA. Every Christmas, instead of presents we exchange a box of local snack foods, etc. I don't know how much longer that's going to continue, because the postage is getting to be more than the contents of the boxes.

I'm probably not going to carry the LT today, but it just came in the mail to I wanted to at least get a pic of it. I managed to land it on the LTWK Christmas vault show they did on YouTube this past Saturday.

Nice. I had to look LTWK up and peruse.
Nice picture of black classics Jeff !😊

Fettling session ......... LOL 🤣
Thanks, buddy! 😉

I had never heard of the term “fettling” until r8shell r8shell and Jack Black Jack Black used it here.
The first thing I thought was Be Careful How You Say That. Like the old word “Farding”, which means applying makeup. 🤔
It's been a long long day, 16" of snow and another 6"-9" expected over night, then another 3"-4" for Friday  ;) We shoveled sidewalks, driveways, decks and then dug out trucks at our store.:mad: Bless our city crew as there is no finer!!! Started at 5:00am and we wrapped up about 2 hrs ago. All you hear through town are the beep beep beep of Bobcats reversing as well as city trucks. My neighbor tried to make it through to the end of the street at about 5:30am with no luck and got majorly hung up, we shoveled to no avail so out came my Husqvarna snowblower and life got easier.

Shoveled and blew snow for 6+ hrs between our house and our furniture store. We will be closed tomorrow as well and hope to open Friday🤞 My wife LOVES to shovel and her favorite shovel (yes she has a favorite shovel) is pictured next to a snow bank😁

These were all in my pockets today, I just sprayed the No Stick to the shovel blades as I prepared for tomorrow, Gloves and boots on the boot dryer so we're ready.
They estimate that there is approx 4" of moisture in what's fallen already, that's how wet this snowfall has been.

There's an open space between the pergola and our roof but the snow has filled in the gap.

Sure is pretty, but I can feel your pain. I don’t have to warn you about that “heart attack snow” bit. Glad you pace yourself!
I’m with your wife ~ I enjoy relocating and rearranging snow. I even have a favorite shovel, but I prefer the long handled plow type. None of that back wrenching you get with a short handled one.
My shovel has been rebuilt many times. The blade fatigued and broke off from the rivets. I attached a flat bar of steel behind it, and bolted it together with brass machine screws.
I like those boots! 👍🏻

Love your hat. 🤙
One of these for Thursday ... or maybe something else

Just put the TL-29 in your pocket and call it good. Maybe stick that fixed blade with the striped handle on your belt.
I dare ya to carry the short sword into the bank.
Haven’t posted one of these in a while 😃

Dogs face says “ quit messing with the focus, and gimme my apple”.
Settle down men, careless talk :D No it was meant as a humorous gesture, Sardinia is never visiting the Washing machine, nor the Dishwasher:D🤣 If it had been in the washer the Damascus would rust and the Horn bloat up something horrible..That's why you've got to be careful.

Yeah, I think a Buck 110 would shake it off but the washer might get the worse end of the deal :D
When I go to Mom’s house, I always bring a few sharpening tools. She puts all of her kitchen knives in the dishwasher, banging the edges against the other silverware.
Hard to tell an 85 year old woman what to do in her own kitchen. 🫣

Alright
Home from the wife's Dr appointment
And day off so I switched out to something less people friendly

But I like it

Ah, people can be overrated.
The 125OT is a helluva good knife. And being slim, it rides nicely in your pocket, so nobody gets the vapors.

This Jack and Stockman on a wet, icy day in the Old Dominion.

That’s a very fine stockman in great shape. Mine has cracks in the delrin at the center pin, which is very common on this model.
