Glad you found heirloom suppliers. Fried, green tomatoes are ok but the rest of the store tomatoes, well...Fortunately, I have found seed suppliers who specialize in heirloom, open pollinated varieties. But commercial growers are forced to grow what the big stores want, like the hard, tasteless tomatoes we get in the grocery store. They arrive hard and green, so they can be trucked hundreds of miles, and then are gassed to make them turn red for display.
I’m totin two locking single blade Schrades today~ the Scrimshaw which I had to give a new blade, and the masterful 125OT I bought on the exchange a year or two ago ~ thanks, Alan @joeradza!

Glad Cindy only has scrapes and bruises. I hope these heal fast.Cindy fell on the top three steps of our back porch this morning. Luckily nothing broken - just scrapes and bruises and a dent in her pride. Cindy said Coco our dog looked on for moral support. I don't know how this Lambfoot will play in the scheme of things but I'll carry it today. Breakfast has been delayed.

Alternating between this one and the Bunny most days. I kind of prefer the Bunny knife but this one ain’t too bad either.

Rob, It's just the pressure of the hand pushing the blade closed, or pulling it open, forcing the protrusion on the end of the backspring to push through the notches. There's no lock per say. I'm assuming it's a way to get some locking action, without a lock release, making it legal in those countries that prohibit a locking mechanism. I've seen similar on some French folders.
Hope that makes sense.....

He SAYS he has, but I didn’t see it.Has your son eaten one?
If not, I suggest responding, "You first"![]()
Sweet knife Mike, and a cool photo as well.
Thanks Rob, I have to admit, I’m a little intrigued, but I can’t take the heat like I could in my younger days.Scorpion Pepper is a clue !![]()
As a father, I would use it as a teaching moment. Show your wisdom and just say no. Then ask him to try it.
If he double dog dares you and you can't resist, at least tell him that you will, if he will run his thumb all the way down the edge of that Northwoods.
At least a bandaid will fix his problem, if he accepts.
Handsome pairing for you today.![]()

I hope injuries are superficial, bike and albums survived. It was going so well this year,I made it all the way to day 2 before my first mishap.
Lovely sunny day, nice coffee then bought some records as a new shop was open, it had gone dark as I didnt notice the time slip by so many great records instore.
Which then led to a massive off on the tow path in the pitch black, lucky I didnt go in the water I wouldnt have got out.
Some people rescued me,Ambulances are jammed up so got a taxi home (A and E is also blocked up) as getting very cold.
Some lass has taken my bike back to her place and locked it up.
They sent a non emergency ambulance to my house, left knee is a big blotch of skimmed skin as is my elbow and my right hand is like a club and very painful.
Best goretex jacket, gloves and trousers shredded, not sure how my bike is or the records I bought,to dark to see.
Watch and best barlow seem OK,helmet saved my limited brain cells
That big patch of water isn’t a lake it’s a ancient flooded common pasture area.
