• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

These two today: Opinel #10, and Schatt & Morgan lockback. I don't anticipate really needing a knife for much in the way of work today (relaxing day off, finally, doing laundry and other low-pressure menial chores), but you never know, maybe I'll pop over to my workshop for a little while this afternoon. In that case, I'd bet the Opinel will see some use. The Schatt's getting carried just because I like it. :)

I'm not really sure what exactly to call this S&M... Queen just calls it a lockback. It's basically their swingguard, without the guards (that's even how it's marked on the box), but I think it looks more like a single-blade English Jack, with a lock.

Edit: Whoops! Change of plans! Looks like I'll be putting a water pump on my Explorer today (getting it ready for sale... Anybody in the SE PA area want to buy a nice Ford Explorer with low miles & leather seats?? :D), so the big Opinel No. 10 will be enlisted for any potential knifely duties that may arise! I really enjoy working on a car, outside on a sunny day, so this afternoon is looking good.

This one has been neglected for some time; a US Army Camillus I cobbled together from a couple of wrecks. Covers are stabilized cherry burl.

Some great looking knives being carried today folks

I am still carrying this guy around. I think this is one of my best pics I have taken. I dont touch anything up, its all natural lighting just before dark ;)

Thanks guys :)

I am really starting to enjoy the hunt of the shot now. Great fun trying to get everything just right.
