Got that right! A Buck 55 and a Sodbuster are a pretty no nonsense team. Much more suited for a weekend set of chores than the meeting heavy day I had today at workCan’t get much more practical than that!!!
GEC did some fancy burl handled #73s back in 2007. This one is box elder burl.

Thanks. I honestly can’t remember the website, I’ve had it for a couple of years. I do remember it was a site that had primarily shaving products and a small selection of pocket knives.Where did you get the Taylor's Eye Witness? It's beautiful.
Thanks Bob.Very nice " wood". I really like the eye witness Todd.
Thanks Gordon.Nice woods, especially the burl.![]()
Thank you Jeremy. I haven’t had either of these two out for awhile.WOW!!!! Very nice!!
Beautiful knives!
Your secret is safe with me!Two fine lookin' knives with fine wood. I have to confess that the handsome Eye Witness is a bit creepy, those tang eyes looking at me and that really scary goblin that is looking out of the corners of his eyes and smiling, just south of the center pin. I reckon it is just my imagination. .................. please don't tell GT I said anything though.![]()

I’m really impressed with this one so far. I wonder why it would patina differently. No sign of patina yet, but I’ve only carried it a couple days.Nice SFO, that shop and Boker did very well with these IMHO.
One thing I've noticed - the copper on the SFO doesn't seem to be acquiring a patina as quickly as my standard production coppers.
I think there at least a handful of us here with one or more knife of this line.![]()
Thanks. John. My first burlap and my first copperThank you, Bart.
The copper plays nicely with the Micarta.![]()

<snip>
Both are beautiful knives but I have a soft spot for mini trappers.
Ed, that’s my favorite way to aquire coffee mugs, and my favorite kind of mug ~ thick porcelain china, with an unglazed bottom rim for knives.Jackpot!!!! When we went to the Wagon Wheel Cafe yesterday, they had just set out new red coffee cups. I brought two home with me. We're off with Coco later for the Vet. She's much better but we take her to the Vet for a look-see every couple weeks. I buffed out the Tony Bose signature on the blade of this Ebony Sowbelly and will tote it again today. Sausage and waffles for breakfast.

she walks, she talks, she hops … nice execution, clip main, great swedge, nice covers - I’m happy.
Goin back to bed.
My former rotation schedule treated ALL my knives equally in the sense that they showed up at some position in their category list and weren't scheduled again until every other knife in that category had been scheduled for a week of pocket time. In my new rotation schedule, I wanted to acknowledge that, although I like almost all of my knives, there are some that I like quite a bit more than others, and I wanted to carry my favorites more frequently. So in the new schedule, for most categories, I identified my "top ten" knives for the category, and those show up every other week in the schedule, with less favorite knives "filling the gaps". So in 20 weeks, I've gone through all of my top ten for a category, and can start over on them again, even though in most categories I have quite a few "lesser knives" still waiting for their first turn.
The schedule is set up for 60 weeks, so that I get through my top ten in each category 3 times over the 60 weeks, but in most categories, I get through the "not top ten" only once (and maybe a few of them get carried a second time for categories in which I have fewer knives overall).
A few exceptions to my alternating weeks for top ten and not top ten knives.
• I only have 8 knives total in my lambsfoot category, so I just rotate through all of them over and over in an 8-week cycle.
• I have so many canoes that I'm carrying 2 each week, one of my top ten canoes and one less favorite canoe. So I'll get through my top ten canoes every TEN weeks - Yippee!
• My miscellaneous category is such a diverse bunch of knives that I didn't try to identify a top ten, so there's no "caste system" driving the scheduling of knives in that category.
Canoes of the week are a Case 1975 as a top ten canoe and a Fightin' Rooster 4-blade canoe as a wonderful knife that didn't crack my subjective top ten:

Thanks Bart. I’m trying to get some knives out that I haven’t had out for awhile. Resisting the urge to buy new knives.Another couple of nice ones, Todd. I love the cap lifter and the bolster on the eye witness is very cool.
I never really thought about carrying two traditionals until I found this thread a few months back. While I don’t always carry two I did today. More or less just because I wanted to take some pictures.
The amber is another one I’ve had for years but finally decided to carry it.
