High quality quintet, Jer; I admire all the rounded bolsters!

If Jack's KOTY thread didn't require that I actually OWN the knives I nominate, I'd have been sorely tempted to nominate that GEC 88 clip/lamb sowbelly as Knife of the Year.

Jack, does this mean that you prefer solitary walks over walking with companions??

Thanks, John.

I just checked back through this thread and my knife spreadsheet and discovered that my old schedule actually ran out almost exactly a year ago, and I started a temporary carry schedule that included only knives I had obtained in 2020 and 2021. Looks like I used that temp. schedule from last January 10 into last July, and then I started just making up "thematic" groups of knives to carry each week. That was kind of fun, but way too much creativity was required on my part! I'm sure I'll be much happier with 60 weeks of carries laid out for me in advance!

Pure gold knives, Bob!

Nice lamb, cared for by a dog with strong herding instincts!

Superlative stag pair, José!

Jack looks like he's keeping his feet amazingly clean on the muddy trail!

How do you like that SAK Walker?
Attractive display case!

What are the dimensions?
Many admirable wood artifacts you included in your Wooden Wednesday photo!

Sorry to read that you were still struggling with your health, Paul.

Reminds me of an old song (whose lyrics I modified to fit your situation):
Feeling sick, it's a bad one.
I fought a bug and the bug won.
I fought a bug and the bug won.
Hope you shake it off ASAP.

That EO Imperial utility knife is definitely a classic!

Congrats on getting one of the exceedingly rare copper versions of the ebony WCLF, Jack!!

Everyone has to handle their approach to knives in a way that works for their own personality and circumstances. I say my schedule "relieves anxiety of deciding what to carry and makes me feel in control" while you can legitimately say "too regimented for me."

Todd and Jeff, your use of the word "fancy" for your wood covers is completely justified!!

I wouldn't say that organizing an "intervention" for you involving a mental health care professional is "calling the authorities" on you, Rob!

Just curious, would your health care plan cover mental health services, or should we start some kind of fund raiser for you? You seem to have a quite intense case of "imagination", so treatment may be prolonged, and I fear I might have to sell ALL my Rough Ryders to help you out.

I think in the distant past, there may have been more single spring canoes. I kind of like the 3-spring, no krinking stockman patterns, too.
BTW, I should correct an earlier claim I made to
@pmek5 : I noticed to day that I have a Schrade-Wostenholm I*XL canoe that also has a single spring, and asymmetric liners.

Jeff, you should see what mathematicians have to say about "voting theory" and options like ranked preference voting.

I don't pretend to think that everything can be quantified, but I think it's worth investigating any quantifiable aspects of a situation to see if that provides helpful insights.
And I agree with you that carrying a knife for only a day is often not very satisfying. That's why my rotation schedule is set up for me to carry the same batch of knives for a week at a time. I'll often only use 2 or 3 of the dozen or so I have assigned to me for the week, but the others are available if I feel an urge for more variety.
