What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

A horrible wet,damp,foggy,grey English day.

So I went back to the museum,I still havent seen 1/10 of it just so much to see even the bits I saw I know missed a lot.

Though some people wizz through and dont have a clue what they are missing.

The place was rammned all of a sudden its very popular with familys,I went straight to the back and up in a lift to 2 gallerys that most people miss.

I was sure the kids would be wanting to view the Dinosaurs so I will view them another day on a schoolday when it should be quiet.

Today I choose my excellent Scout knife (kindly sent to me after a GAW) to drop in my pocket. 😇

On the way home I stopped for a coffee in a popular coffee stop for students/familys and the like.

I took lots of knife photos for you and will post them in another thread if you like.

Today I learnt there was such a thing as knife money, clearly they where ahead of time and anticipated facebook re seller's and the like. 😂

looks like a great place to visit on a rainy day or any day

A belated Happy Birthday to your wife Tyson, and I hope that you both enjoyed the rest of the day :) I have a package here for you, but the Royal Mail aren't shipping anything out of the country at the moment, not even letters! 🤨 Just checking, and they've now resumed a "limited" overseas service, so hopefully I can get it off this week

Beautiful pic Dwight :)

Nice JJ, congratulations :) That's a great-looking Lambsfoot too  Thank you for the kind words my friend :)

Wishing everyone a great weekend :)

I passed your regards along, thanks! Your Christmas card got here in no time at all - must have just beat whatever crunch they are experiencing.

You gotta stop carrying that 110, though - putting that giant lump of wood and metal on your belt is probably why your backs been acting up! 🤪 Just carry your lambsfoot - it'll do every you need.

Yeah, very little so far this winter, maybe tomorrow…

Me likey.

That’s a great way to mark a b’day, Tyson.🤙
Time spent together is the best gift.

Sounds like the Royal Mail needs a little competition.
What is their excuse?

Two jacks for my knifely duties.

And my dog. View attachment 2053888
Have a real fine Saturday!
It was a good day. And that looks like a good dog! (Nice knives, too, of course, but hard to pay attention to with that good doggie right there.)

The new Chinese one arrived today. I don't like the way China Schrade pretends to be producing old patterns but changes them. I held out for a USA 65OT because the Chinese ones do something different at the point (and I'd heard bad things about the Chinese handle material).
In this lumberjack they've shortened the sheepfoot. The thing I most admired about Schrades was their longer than others' sheepfoots.

It's a perfectly good Chinese knife, and the Chinese make perfectly good knives, but let's not kid ourselves that Schrade isn't gone.

Besides carrying my Case Bose Bullnose, also carrying this smaller Kabar with stag for a special delivery to my 12 year old nephew and hunting buddy. He saw a big Kabar hunter in the safe and wanted it. Found him the small Kabar 1186 still new in the box. Had his name and year engraved on it for him. Taking it over to him today.

I’ll do a longer post, but his interest in the Kabar and search to find him a couple of nice traditionals rekindled my own interest.
