A splendid pair JJ
Beautiful knives. Am I correct that this is a Barlow pattern?
JJ those are beauties perched together.
Glad to see another person enjoy the old traditions. Your nephew is fortunate to have you as a role model. The knife is a great start for him.Thank you, sff.
Really enjoying everyone and going back to memories of my first pocket knife as a boy long ago. Carried it every day including to school as did most other boys from grade school on.
Was taking my youngest nephew hunting several weeks back.
He was looking over my various hunting knives and an old Kabar large hunting folder grabbed his interest. It belonged to my wife’s grandfather. He asked if he could have it, but she was not ready to let it go.
So, I started looking for one online for him.
The search for him rekindled my own interest in the knives I grew up with and admired, but mostly were out of reach.
Seeing some of the work being turned out today, these are the good old days.
Glad to be here and enjoying seeing these beautiful knives and the good company.
I gave him this small Kabar and found this large Kabar folder for him, just like the one he admired.
He “totes” the small Kabar 1186 after school. So this counts as his post in the what are you totin’ discussion.
We’ll give the big one to him when he goes hunting with me next fall.

Sounds like I need to find some seeds and grow a few plants. Thank you for the informationFirst time I've grown them, fully ripe more like a habanero, a nice flavour with a bit of bite. I tried them as a habanero substitute & will grow them again. I can see some chilli cheeseburgers in the near future![]()

Thank you kind sir, I think Duane was a friend to many hereSorry for the passing of your friend
Duane gifted his first-run TC Barlow to ThomAfter reading the sad news of the passing of Duane, I recalled his affection for fixed blade knives. I selected one of my own favorite fixed blades to carry for today, along with an older TC Barlow, which was all the rage when I first became acquainted with this fine porch member. R.I.P. my friend.
