.. Like mine does when I am at a yard sale bartering little more than soda-pop change for a fine knife like that?..:D:D:thumbup:

Best,
Anthony

PS .. Thought I'd offer up the old Queen tang stamp cheat sheet in case you did not have her on hand ..

Sunnyd, I have a similar Queen, except only a clip pointed blade and the bolsters are more rounded. The only marking on the knife is on the tang where it say "QUEENCUT. CO" in an arc, and below that in a straight line "TITUSVILLE. PA". Any idea of what time frame this knife may have been made? Thanks. John

My heart always goes thumpity thump when I get such a deal, I once bought a Case Equal End Pen in Greenbone from the '30s for $5 at an estate sale, there was only one other person bidding on the knives against me.

Between the 2 of us we spent $100 and we each walked away with a dozen knives each, all in excellent shape, it was a real thumpity thump day.

I thought my heart was gonna jump outta my chest everytime a knife came up on the block, eventually we fell into a bidding rhythm, when he saw what I wanted after a few bids he'd back off and I did the same.

I've never been to another sale like that, now a days the knives are Franklin Mint Knives people were overpaying by 300-400%.

These days if I find a good to excellent usin' knife for between $8-$15 that's at least 30-40 years old, I'm happy.:)

I have a Queen that came from my grandfather's collection that I didn't know anything about. I now know its a 1972. Thanks for posting the dating.

Finally closed on the two shops on Monday and I have been swamped but very happy.

My swaybacks have seen a lot of work this week one is a chestnut CV by case, another in ebony by Ken Erickson and another in ivory by Kerry Hampton.

At the moment I'm carrying a 4-blade Schatt&Morgan sowbelly. My apologies for the lack of photos - my photographer graduated from high school and went off to college. I may have to break down and by my own camera.

Nice CSB on that Queen in the centre!

Today, CASE Mini Trapper(Wharncliffe blade) in Emerald smooth bone, a bit garish but I need cheering up!

John,

I am not sure and would need to see a good photo shot of the tang stamp(s) as well as a good shot of the knife to be certain.. If you like bring it over to 'Bernard Levine's Identification & Collecting' sub-forum and we will definitely hash out its true age. :)

Roger that!. Its been a lonnnnng while since I've had a good heart pounding day in the yard sale trenches but so long as I don't recall the great fun they can be. :D

Your quite welcome. Glad I could be of some small assistance to you. Perhaps one day you would be kind enough to show it to us?!.

Started the day with a GEC Northfield "Sunfish" in Banana Peal Bone, and switched mid-day to a more "discrete" carry--their "Big Jack" in Smooth Buffalo horn.

SHOULD I get the call to go work on my buddies Boss' house I shall put at least the Case SS Sod Buster Jr., and the Winchester Stockman in my pockets.

Sort of tells the tale of my lazy Laborday weekend. SAK was used later to gather kindling and whittle hotdog sticks for the kids.

I have been bummed because I meesed up my thumb nail so my traditional carry has not been lately. Been carrying a OH opener. It is ok, but I miss my traditional knifves. But I just saw a pic of a Case sodbuster and thought, oh yeah, I can open that without a nail. Sweet. So now that will go in my pocket. About time. Have had it for 2 months and have yet to really try it out. Well now is the time.
