What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

In my pocket today this beautiful Gec easy pocket 62 Sambar Stag I’ve had for almost 3 years now. Many have come and gone but this one will always be here.

I’m still carrying my Bunny. Can’t believe how much I like it. Can’t wait to get a slip from Coleman!
And for good reason they are a beautiful well made knife By Gec with the special touch of waynorth waynorth :) Also of course it’s what it represents and that’s the best knife forum in the world imo and that’s Bladeforums.

Not to belabor a point, but wish to end the night with a thank you to all for your well wishes.
I’m so sorry my friend it’s difficult to keep up here sometimes for me and I just saw your post .I hope the Mrs heals up fast ! Bob again I apologize for the late reply .

Jeff, I hope you left the gloves at home! The wife and I are both down with colds, so stayed home from church this morning. Anyway, in about 5 minutes we can watch our service on TV. RALF is doing the honors, so far today.

Considerate of you not to share the cold with your church friends, Jeff. Rest up up and kick it to the curb.
I’m afraid to wear work gloves to church. They might put me to work.
These are my best work gloves. No holes yet. The stain is from the linseed oil on my new wheelbarrow handles. They smell good!
Jeff, glad you found a new " family" ...those are two beauties...Im a big Camillus fan.
Thanks! And I’m a fan of that beauty you’ve got on you today.

Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund Jeff, glad you still find use for that knife. Great for you and your new church family. When you are in the club, that key family member determines churches, vacations, activities, dinner out etc. Not a complaint or an issue, just a fact. OH
So true, Bruce. We try to let Andie make as many decisions for herself as possible. Even if it means we watch Andy Griffith. Again.🤪
This has been a straight up safe queen since I bought it. Got it out to oil it yesterday, and when I shut it, it made that dreaded sound. I opened it back up & sure enough, it had a little spot of blade rap. So, I had to sharpen it & I figured since I did, I might as well carry it.

I hate that sound! At some point, I realized that I’d unconsciously trained myself to ease my knives closed, even though I only have one that will hit the spring if I let it snap.
Anyway, I would not be capable of not using that one!

You’ve got some nice Western belt knives. Did they call this one a Skinner?
I took Coco out at 6:00 AM and there wasn't a snow flake in sight - went back to bed and when I got up at 8:30 AM there was two inches of snow on the ground and an intensifying snow storm is blowing through as I type this. This calls for an Ebony Lambfoot. Don't know what it can do about the snow storm but carry it I will. Sausage and pancakes for breakfast.

If one was inclined to whine about snow, reading your posts would fix their complaining.

JK Hiker’s Backup, Northwoods Indian River Jack (Queen 99). These knives are much better than my really bad pic today.

In Focus? Check.
Shows the nice colored bone? Check.
Did not lop off the blades? Check.

You’re good.
This week my rotation schedule did me the honor of assigning me 2 stag canoes, one from Buck and one a Schrade-Wostenholm I*XL I won in a GAW here (thanks, @cchu518 ). Amazingly, the serial number on the I*XL is my birthday in DD/MM format!

Nice boats.
I get a kick out of birthday formats. A computer is not smart, but when I tell a human “56”, and they ask, “1956?”I say, “ 2056. I have a Delorean.” Or, “No, 1856, I’ve had some work done”.
I’ve tried most of them, and always come back to Slinkys. 👌

Kutmaster Stockman and Guardians 19 today

Some years back, I lost a bid on a Kutmaster like that with the Property of US Govt blade etch.
Darn it.😁
So good! This makes my heart happy. Glad y’all could find a spot like this. Gotta live ready at the hardware store! Never know what is around the corner!
Yes, it’s good, Jon. The guy’s timing was right, and we were ready after leaving our old church over a year ago.
And he’s a guitar player, too! He wants to jam, so that could be fun. Old guys can play too!🥴
Carrying one of my new knives that I lucked into finding yesterday.

That’s a beauty and a cool pattern.

Tell me where you found it, and I’ll tell you where I lost it. 😎

Nice to see you Dan. I think of you everytime I fill my bird feeders, and the ever friendly Chikadees come within just a few feet away to watch the process with great interest.

That's very interesting, I wonder why he used the word, perhaps it was in use then, or maybe was in certain parts of the US? 🤷‍♂️
I think that in the first half of the 20th century, that was the common term for an open ended wrench, here, as well. It could be that WC's father was born in Sheffield! ;)
That pair of sweet strawberry slicers always look stunning together  Gorgeous! :)
Thank you for your kind words, Jack!!! :)
Enjoy your Sunday folks :) Carrying my Yorkshire Rose and Les Vies Lammes Alpin :)
