What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thank you very much Jake . Your carry for today is a great looking piece of a sharp edged instrument . Please remind me of who made that for you . It is great to see you posting a little more my friend .

Harry

Thanks Harry, good to come back around to slipjoints every now and then! My carry today was the annual Case and Tony Bose collaboration pattern for 2008. There’s other styles of the Ark. Hunter for that year, mine happens to have molasses bone and raindrop damascus.

I’ve got this thing for old Western’s.

Todays carry : I could call this a Bear Trap but it is little too small for any Bears other that a Cub . One that I picked up at the 2017 Rendezvous and it was a Store model . Stag Northfield 262212 . The blade was obviously stamped to be made in 2012 but was used , I think , as available parts to make knives to sell at the 2017 Rendezvous and that is fine with me . It is only 3 " closed but does kind of fill your hand up .

Very impressive item! I had a 26 in Primitive Bone myself some years ago but traded it with a dedicated collector of the pattern for something else. Kind of ambiguous about letting a Primitive Bone go but the pull on the little brute was a 9.75 and I pride myself of having a hardman's thumb ....:D Mine was Clip but I feel Spear suits the frame more, that's a fine knife you have.

Thanks, Will.

This Sheffield Lambsfoot was re-built by jsdistin , re-covered in African Blackwood, and gifted to me by Reaper AL :) Carrying it, along with a vintage Hammer Brand Barlow, given to me by JJ Cahill JJ Cahill :) Thanks a lot fellers :)

It's great to see the old Imperial Hammer hanging around with some very cool Sheffield steel; the Blackwood covering your Lambsfoot looks marvelous, too! ;) 👍👍

Thank you Mr P. According to Goin's. Its a tang stamp Jack Knife Ben used on his knives he sold at the Union Stock Yards in Chicago. Spey blade tang is stamped Union Stock Yards. Looks like a Schrade made knife to me.
Nice-looking pair David 🙂👍

Very interesting and I like the Union Stock Yards tang stamp being on the other blade. Schrade look about it for sure, only rarer. 😍
