In my experience, Boker is at least as bad as Case for lost shields.

Thanks Jeremy. Interesting association with the plate. These aren't that old. They're Corelle by Corning. I'm 90% sure Mom bought them after they moved to Tennessee in 1985.
Did a quick search and it looks like that snowflake pattern started production in the late 70’s which puts memories of that plate from the early 80s on the mark. Thanks for the trip down memory lane Mike.

This is still in my pocket.

I took the mirror polish off of the blade last night and ground down where the red line is pointing in order to lower the blade into the handle a bit more when closed. The tip was barely covered before, now it sits about a MM lower. Slippery slope though, because the lower the blade the less material to grab on the blade for opening! I'd like to sink it in there even more but that would require grinding some notches in the handle.

I thought you were a top notch golfer .......... ................. ohh that takes concentration, not patience. 🤣
Not liking these new fangled emoji's neither !:(
We pride ourselves on fast play. They send us out first at the club...and I only have to focus for a few seconds.😁 ...I am getting better with my attention to detail but still it needs work.🫣

A long punt purchase of what looked like brown delrin scales due to the awful photos turned out to be amazing pink/red/brown bone scales !
No named brand but with stainless steel made in Japan blades with a nice swedge on the large blade, brass liners and great walk & talk….a new favourite but then I do say that quite a lot ….

Very nice jack! 👌
Some times it pays to take a chance, and toss up a bid.

A Schrade Cut. Co. Cocobolo Sleeveboard pen knife and my trusty Cattaraugus Carpenter's Whittler for Thursday. 😊 🌦️☔

Nice pair, Mr.P.
Just love that Catt bone, which led me to search for info on the net. Was it from Rogers?
I found this ~
Which is about Rogers, and worm groove is mentioned, so… maybe?
I also found this waynorth waynorth thread from ‘08, which has some nice pics and info/discussion.

It’s what they call Diving Down The Rabbit Hole!

I’d say you were lucky that there wasn’t a hole in your pocket!
Maybe this is your day to buy a lottery ticket?
