• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

I hope you let us know who won the race, the lizard or the knife?:)

You are single handedly convincing me to pick up a CJ, your comparison pic in your thread with the bullnose was most helpful

Thanks Jeff, I'll be using the Micarta version for work, the pomele one is for weekends:) I reckon if the ebony version is anything like the ebony on your Charlow it'd be a stunner....:)

Ah well, I spent a fair amount of the morning stooped over weeding in the vegetable garden. To preclude plumber's grin, I wore overalls. And when you wear overalls, you kinda hafta have a sodbuster in your pocket. A nice yellow Queen sodbuster. I find some other sodbusters to be a bit blunt. The Queen blade shape works better for me and the D2 is becoming my favorite traditional steel.

 Those Queen sodbusters are one of the best deals around in a hard-working slipjoint, imo. I'm trying really hard not to succumb to one of the micarta versions.

In my pocket..

and on my belt..

The GEC is developing a really nice patina now, loads of purple and pearlesence!

Had these two with me all day today... "Menefee Made" Lanny's clip and a Wards (made by Winchester) Dogleg Jack.

Jason

This one again along with my recently acquired alox mini champ that I don't have pics of yet. Just imagine its in the big open space to the right. :D

Think I have my fill of ebony for now ;). I am actually looking at the micarta like yours or one of the bones. Very tempting pattern for me but I can say that about a lot of GEC's knives.

Wow - Jack, the blade on the soddie got dark real quick!
Lookin good

I'm afraid a lot of that is shadow. That pic was taken yesterday, but here's one taken the day before. I'll hopefully soon have it a darker grey, but the Case mirror polishing is pretty good :)
