Barry love the bone on your Case and I like your file work

Thanks Pete! I was just trying to hide the pits in the spring, had a chainsaw file, and voila!

This one came in the mail today, and in spite of the constant rain and clouds, I decided to take a picture indoors. I did a little regrind on the edge belly of the clip main to take out the "tanto-ness" of GEC's usual clip shape. I'm happy with the change.

Hi. Thanks for asking and for the compliment. Yes this is a Grandaddy Barlow :)I was very excited to find it at a local knife show. At this annual show there are many older gentlemen who sell slipjoints. I am very partial to large beefy single blade traditional folders.
Do you have any favorite large Barlows? This one is Case made in the late 1980's I believe.

No, i don't have any large ones and the Barlow I do have is an AG Russell medium lockback in yellow delrin that I got last year that is my EDC blade. The scales on your knife caught my attention! I also carry bigger knives #23 GEC and AGR wharnecliffe sowbelly as a backup. What is the OAL of that granddaddy?

The Grandaddy is 5" OAL closed. The blade is 4". I really am impressed with GEC too. Love the looks of the TC blade that Jon posted.
