What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I just got the Robertson Custom WT in the mail yesterday, so I am going to give it some more time in the pocket today. I am really impressed with the quality. I was a little worried about the antlers on the buck snagging, but, after seeing it in person, those worries vanished, as it lays down nicely in the stag and the shield seems very thick. Thought I would add my custom Humphrey Muley to the mix. 😊

.............. I see a vicious looking spotted prehistoric cat ( with its ears laid back ) creeping toward its prey at the end of your lamb. It even shows a tail. Just a few other critters makes it a fine specimen. 😲:thumbsup:😍
I love the way you see animal forms in knife handles. 😁
;)

A little Barlow for me, today.

I won an auction for this one recently and it showed up in yesterday's mail. I got it pretty cheap because it didn't have a shield and looked pretty rough. I spent some time cleaning it up last night, getting most of the crud out of the inside, flushing it out, gluing on a new shield and giving the blades some new edges. It's not the prettiest knife around, but it's still solid and has some life left, so I'm putting it in the pocket today.

It looks pretty to me. It's amazing to me just how many old knives like yours are still very solid knives. What kind of glue did you use for the shield repair ?
Schrade knew how to make a really good knife.😍

Two knives with alot of wow factor Paul.
A fine example of what a lamb can be in a craftsmans hand.

View attachment 2098847Viper84: You need to check out the #79 Workhorse whittler's then!
If a Jack Knife means all the blades hinge on the same end, that 3 blader you showed yesterday is not as common as this one, is it?
What did GEC call that 3 blade NF? And I’d guess having 3 springs, it’s chunky.
It sure looks handy.

That’s a fine knife, and I think it’s great that you’ve rescued it and given it some lovin!
If a person could only have one knife, the 804 would be a good one to be stuck with.
