Nice knives today Jack!

Yikes! :eek: I hope you can get your roof fixed soon Mr P, and that you are OK otherwise :thumbsup:

Many thanks JJ :) Sadly not, the law here on crossbows means that I can only carry the Steambow on private land, which I either own, or where I have permission, so I need to find a few spots. My gardens aren't really suitable, a bit too open, and with the appearance of the Steambow, and the general ignorance of the law, I'd likely be getting Tasered, and carted off by heavily-armed men in black! :eek: So far, I've only been able to use it for target shooting at 22ft. Hopefully, when I have a bit more time, I can find somewhere to practice regularly. How about you JJ, you getting to know it? :thumbsup:

Stunning Black Friday choices my friend :) :thumbsup:

Wishing everyone a great weekend :) :thumbsup:

Handsome pen knife Jack.
It's ashame there are no indoor or outdoor ranges available to dial in your skills.

While rummaging through some old boxes, I found one marked WW II. Found photos of nose art of my father's B 24's.
Strangely enough, during the war he had to bomb his father's home town in Sicily.

hope picture meets standards of the porch. Will gladly delete

My project after golf...this vintage Robeson....it needs some TLC.View attachment 2103354

I like it.
Dad had a cousin, Roy, who’s bomber got shot down over Germany. He parachuted, was captured, and spent the rest of the war as a POW. He was liberated by US troops, and lived a long, happy life.
I remember him with plaid shorts, sandals with socks, and a transistor radio listening to ball games at family picnics.

Heavenly pair Bob, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with that lovely old Robeson
Nice knives today Jack!
Thank you very much David :) :thumbsup:

Thanks Bob, it was a generous gift from sceva sceva :) When I have more time, I'm hoping I can find an archery range where I can practice, though I suspect the archers might look down slightly on the use of crossbows - fair enough! :D :thumbsup:

Muskrat are such great knives, and you have a fine example Gary.👍
Thanks for the encouraging words, Bob. :)

My new Canoe back from repair and ready to go!

Congrats on the return of your handsome canoe! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:
If a canoe like that came back to me, I'd be singing all day (at least)! 🤓

That’s one thing I really like about the Porch ~ the way those of us who are blessed to have an heirloom knife from a loved one hold it in an especially high regard. 🤙
I agree, Jeff! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: The knives with memories of people or places or events attached are my favorites.

Thank you very much Jeff . I am just glad that I did not get down to having to show this one to finish the month .

Harry

P.S. : That one belongs to Nancy
After enjoying your show for February, Harry, I was going to ask if you could do the same thing for February in a leap year. But you answered before I could even ask! :thumbsup:🤓:thumbsup:

OMG! IMHO UR KK EO = OK+++! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
(I never text, but I can pretend if I have to. 😁)

Good wood and prime pattern, Mike! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Good to see you and Roy on the Frontier, John! :cool::thumbsup:;)

Interesting design on your Opinel, GT. Also, sanitary sewer seems like an oxymoron, maybe it’s just me…🤔🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣
Thanks, Jeremy. :) That manhole cover is in the small town where we go for vacation in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. But my city has lots of similar manhole covers, some marked "sanitary sewer" and some marked "storm sewer" (and older ones marked simply "S" - not sure when the city separated the 2 types of sewers). And I agree that the sanitary sewers seem MUCH less sanitary than the storm sewers.o_O🤮

Both are exceptional Mr.P.👍

Very nice John...one day I will find a classic yellow like that....👍

Thank you Jeff, I always try to imagine when these were tucked into a pair of old work pants.View attachment 2100292

Very nice Case to carry today Jeff

An opinel to be cherished and an ebony lamb that everyone should own. Nice combo Gary.

That's a classic which will live on forever...good luck with you photos.

Those two are just perfect together Paul.

Very nice Scout you have there. Beautiful coloring.
That's a splendid vintage jackknife, Bob! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:
Thanks for the accurate description of my 2 knives. :)
And I didn't notice until this post of yours, but you've apparently earned your "Multiquotes Badge" with flying colors. :cool::cool::thumbsup: Do you like using multi quotes?

Could almost start a thread called ‘worn out Wednesday’ with this one. Still, I think it has some charm.

Whether they're worn or not, and whether it's Wednesday or not, I sure enjoy seeing all your vintage Westerns! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Very nice Gary, that is an impressive pile cover.👍
Thanks, Bob. :) Marbles had a series of ram's horn knives that I thought were nice (for a low-budget guy like me); I think I have a Barlow, a sowbelly stockman, and a pruner in addition to the canoe.

Magnificent knife, LT!! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Decided to carry this one for the first time today.

If I could get Case bonestag guaranteed to look like yours, I'd grab it immediately, if not sooner! That's a superb mini trapper! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Elegant ebony pair, Jack! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Good morning everyone!
The pointy things continue to shine bright and stand with aplumb on this thread.👍👍
Carrying a Russell and an ebony Catt today.View attachment 2102135
The Catt is getting a mineral bath because the wood was very dry.
Another vivacious vintage pair, Bob; you've got a million of 'em!! :thumbsup:🤓:thumbsup:
