What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Yes, the only difference between the two is the Canyon has a small clip blade where the Trailblazer has a nail file.
There's alot to like about Wengers, such as the belly on 85mm blades, a locking screwdriver and a frame surrounded by it's covers. Smooth and well finished.
BTW great watch and no doubt smart enough. ;)
Have a great day my friend, no matter what the weather.

I've always liked the full wrap on the handle scales of the Wenger too. And the 85mm is just so pocket-friendly.

Supposed to get 6 to 10 inches of snow today. In the meantime, a 48 Improved Trapper in the pocket…

And, this morning's visitors -- nap time under Momma's watchful eye...

It has started in the Southeast part of the state. Wind is picking up which causes concern. So far a couple inches of slush.
Stay safe
If I tote work knives, does that mean I actually have to work?View attachment 2102350View attachment 2102351

It looks like that snowstorm is going south of us. The radio went from “3 to 5”, to “5 to 8”, then “6 to 10”. My Iphone went from starting last night, and snowing all day, to starting at noon today, to maybe (30% chance) of flurries starting at 3:00 pm.

I hope all-a-yall Porchsters to the south got no damage from those tornadoes and T’storms last night!
Glad it is missing you

I agree that wild wind is usually more concerning that snow. Hope you and yours stay safe!

I was perfectly content not to deal with any slop, but must say that the sunset this evening was spectacular. Fire in the sky.

I have one, but don’t know if it was made before or after the name change. But why?

That's "fingers crossed", for those with eyes like mine.
Take shelter and be safe Rob🙏
Two GEC's today, 72 & 29.
Hope the folks facing bad weather stay safe and are able to avoid any property damage.

Thanks for the concern my friends. 😊

It appears we have weathered the very long lasting wind storm. The winds have let up a little in the past hour, but, still 38 mph sustained and gusting in the low 50's. That is a bit better than the hours that went by where we had mid 40 mph sustained and gusting in the high 60's and low 70 mph range. My home has lost quite a lot of shingles near the ridge cap, but, I'm not alone, as every house that I can see from inside has similar roof damage. I imagine it will be a long wait in line to get your roof fixed. :( I took a few screen shots of our Mesonet weather system during the worst of it. Everybody had some fine totes today, but, I didn't look very often. Tomorrow will likely be a much better day.😊

😊
I understand the lumberjack was only made from 86 to 91. They even made a 91mm version for a short time.
Victorinox released the walker in 2015, basically a lumberjack upgraded with toothpick & tweezers. Mine is an older 1 with old shield & rostfrei tang stamp.
I should add it's hard to find exact details of this model.

Primble,

may I suggest going online and ordering some of the blue plastic tarps asap before they sell out? We use them here for temporary roof covers after our occasional tropical storm or hurricane. They are effective at protecting the damaged areas from water penetration and handy for other tasks the rest of the year.

Good luck.

These 2 today : Northfield # 592322 in Ironwood and JA Henckles in Stag . Someone who had the Kenckles prior to me had done very poor job of sharpening over the years but there are pretty sharp edges on the blades in places . Other than that , it is still in good shape .

I have assigned Peter Rabbit and my Osage Orange TC to pocket duty today. Most of my other knives are put away into what I hope is a safe place.
Not liking the forecast this afternoon. :( Many of the schools are letting out at noon and the Governor has been advising caution.
At least I have a basement for Elijah J. and me to hide out, if needed. Going to be a wild ride after lunch till late evening, or so they say.
For anyone else here that's in the crosshairs today ..... be safe ! 😊

Rob, Sorry to hear you had some awful weather to suffer through. I'm glad it's over and hope things return to normal quickly.
