You are not wrong
Raging blizzard today so here goes...
That's a superb stag bone slim trapper, Will.
Kudos on the kool Kutmaster stockman, FBC!
Supposed to get 6 to 10 inches of snow today. In the meantime, a 48 Improved Trapper in the pocketā¦
And, this morning's visitors -- nap time under Momma's watchful eye...
Did you get your predicted 6-10 inches of snow? Where in MI are you located? Here in Grand Rapids, 3-6 inches was predicted, but less than a half-inch ended up on the ground by Saturday morning. You get some nice wildlife shots on your property!
I donāt think Iāve seen this model of Case before. It looks very āLamb-likeā

...
I guess āsandbaggingā could apply, but really I was aiming for self-deprecating humor.
In your case, Royalty is 100% accurate. And speaking for myself, your daily knife choices are a true joy, and something I look forward to each morning.
I sure hope I didnāt offend, because I only meant to poke fun at my own carries!
Now I have to try and shoot a crow for breakfast!
Uh oh! Looks like the crow was smarterā¦

Jeff, I think that Case is just a 1-blade version of their Wharncliffe mini trapper. Other folks have noticed the lambsfoot characteristics of the way Case makes the blade, and sometimes refer to that blade as a "lambcliffe".
As far as you and
Primble
and
Rufus1949
and your talk of eating crow goes, I think
Jack Black
showed a lot of wisdom and foresight by swearing off meat for March!
If I tote work knives, does that mean I actually have to work?

Sometimes when I see your yellow Big Jack, it reminds me of that Johnny Cash/June Carter Cash song:
We got married in a fever
Hotter than a pepper sprout.
We've been talkin' 'bout Jackknives
Ever since the fire went out.
I think the Yeti 88 has the coolest blade etch of any GEC, but I'm happy to be proven wrong.
Now I have Johnny Cash songs rattling around in my head.

If I had a sublime 88 like you guys have, white or black, I'd sing
I keep a close watch on this knife of mine.
I keep my eyes wide open all the time.
I wish it had a lanyard hole and twine.
Because it's mine, I walk the line.
...
If you were trying to nail your knife to the tree, you missed.
...
Never was any good with a hammer
Just rain so far
Jeff & Mike, that's high quality entertainment you guys provide, free of charge!

That's a dandy distinguished dark duo, Steve!
I wonder if, like the Man in Black,
They wear the black for the poor and the beaten down
Living in the hopeless, hungry side of town.
They wear the black for the prisoner who has long paid for his crime,
But is there because he's a victim of the time.
That black Alox Pioneer (?) and stag mini trapper are a superb pair! I thought you had a nice yellow mini trapper, and now you've got a stunning stag one?

David & David, you each have a tremendous trio of rough and ready knives!
Misplaced David, how do you like that Kershaw traditional?
If you guys were named Sue instead of David, I'll bet you'd have no trouble coming up with a knife you could carry while
Kicking and a-gouging in the mud and the blood and the beer.
Case's bonestag can be hard to do justice too. I tend to play with lighting and angles more than a healthy person would

. I find if I take a whole bunch of pictures I sometimes get one or two really decent ones

I think the bonestag on the sodbuster looks great

Mike, are you able to usually pick out your Case bonestag in person? I see some bon stag examples I think are fantastic and some that don't thrill me at all, so I'm a little leery of ordering it online.
Osage and enhanced Whiskey bone from previous owner.
Paul, the handles on both those knives look fantastic, and the patina on the Tribal Lock is great!
(But the shape of the flat-head screwdriver on your bottle-opener blade is weird.

)
A foggy start to the day in the City by the Bay. The usual lamb and a nod to red Friday a Boker pen.

Thanks for the concern my friends.
It appears we have weathered the very long lasting wind storm. The winds have let up a little in the past hour, but, still 38 mph sustained and gusting in the low 50's. That is a bit better than the hours that went by where we had mid 40 mph sustained and gusting in the high 60's and low 70 mph range.
My home has lost quite a lot of shingles near the ridge cap, but, I'm not alone, as every house that I can see from inside has similar roof damage. I imagine it will be a long wait in line to get your roof fixed.

I took a few screen shots of our Mesonet weather system during the worst of it. Everybody had some fine totes today, but, I didn't look very often. Tomorrow will likely be a much better day.

...
Rob, I'm glad you and your cat made it through the high winds safely! Did Elijah seem to get nervous in the stormy weather, or does he just take it in stride? Sorry to read about the roof damage, and I hope you can get that patched up soon.
(As you can see in the newspaper headlines in
sf fanatic
's post quoted right before yours, even a US senator is having problems with shingles! I still need to get that vaccine.)
These 2 today : Northfield # 592322 in Ironwood and JA Henckles in Stag . Someone who had the Kenckles prior to me had done very poor job of sharpening over the years but there are pretty sharp edges on the blades in places . Other than that , it is still in good shape .
We have been busy putting a puzzle together and finally ALMOST finished it .
Never did find the missing piece either .
Harry
That looks like a pleasurable pair of knives, Harry; I especially like that stag!
We have a family tradition of doing at least one puzzle when we rent a cottage in August for vacation; we've stayed in the same one for over 30 years. The owners when we first rented the cottage were nice people, but they didn't invest a lot of time, energy, or money in their "resort" on Lake Huron. One year, we finished a puzzle except for one piece that was still missing after extensive searching. A year later, that still bothered me a little, and I decided to completely move the heavy old couch. And underneath was the missing piece!
