Thank you, Jon!Great to hear from you Paul! Strong showing with that stag beauty!
Great combo, I’ve been carrying similar this weekend.
Nice Antique Yellow 14 and 15 pair there.![]()
Nate I know you live on Molokai but whenever I see the background in your photos I always think of the movie Donovan’s Reef. Ironically I watched it again this morning
Oops! Let me re-phrase that. I don't ride an electric mo-ped or electric motor scooter. I do however. have some really nice USB re-chargeable, Bontrager lights that have day/night settings. I use them any time I'm on a street or roadway of any sort, but I don't ride after dark. In short, I don't see a need for an automatic knife in my hands, and "I'll walk, crawl, or take the bus before I ride an e-bike", aka mo-ped. I'm not a purist in many things, but I do draw the line at times. I'm nearly 74 years old, and drag my dog on a B.O.B. trailer behind my mountain bike. We ride single track trails though the woods, and I'm pedal-power all the way, even after a heart attack in September of last year.. P.S. I carry a SwissBuck Trekker folding knife in my bike trunk bag, a Buck 303 Cadet in my left front jeans pocket, and an Elk antler handled Buck 112 in a leather sheath/pouch on my belt while riding. Sometimes, my watch pocket is host to some other form of folding knife of various pattern. A Weight-Weenie I am not.Spandex should have stayed with the racers, thinking you need to wear the stuff to ride a bike at all keeps a lot of people from trying, I should imagine. I'm with you on the atavism right up until the "no batteries" - how do you get home at night without a good headlight? The SAK is just a modern one with Micarta scales off Etsy - still handy though. Nice to see some other pedal bikes on here!![]()
^Well done with the Johnny/June Cash references, GT,5K Qs
Thanks, JB & Rob.I'll second that JB !![]()

A-1 trapper, Bart! Is that full-sized (4+ inches closed) or more like a mini trapper (3.5")?Yesterday’s knife was the wharncliffe trapper.

Today was the Boker barlow.

The dogs chased off a couple geese today. I don’t have enough grass this year to feed geese.![]()
Pretty interesting art, Bob! Best wishes with your Robeson project. While rummaging through some old boxes, I found one marked WW II. Found photos of nose art of my father's B 24's.
Strangely enough, during the war he had to bomb his father's home town in Sicily.
hope picture meets standards of the porch. Will gladly delete

Impressive thematic photo of your Peanut!A little addictive...
Couldn't refuse this one, as I like the pocket worn bone a lot.

Your poll-winning Texas Jack is a beauty!
Very nice, Bob!Thanks Gary....this multiquote makes life easier and makes me look like a book learning man!Must thank Jeremy SBH06 for the help.
Jeff & Steve, you each posted an incendiary pair of knives! Jeff's wood-handled knife and Steve's Churchill especially fan the flame for me!
Good song! (Weird music video, though.)Robert Palmer had it right " simply irresistible ". Nice pairing Steve.
Nice stag pair, Jack! But that raffle ticket is no good to you this month, is it?...
Wishing everyone a great Sunday![]()

Ravishing Robeson pair, Bob!Will have these two Robesons with me today. They seem to come from the 1920 - 1939 era.View attachment 2104866
Hey! That's my beer budget "line in the sand", too! I rarely spend more than $9 for a 6-pack or $18 for a 12-pack.I wouldn't even pay for most of these if I could, as I have determined (through the use of science) that NO beer can be worth over 3$ per bottle - it's just not that much better than a 1.50$ beer. For free they're great though!
Welcome back, Paul! Stunning stag Conductor (?)Hello everyone, long time no see! So happy to be here to share this beautiful Sunday mornin on the porch!
Keeping it simple and straightforward with this little 33 … clearing some cobwebs and just stretching my legs a bit …

I hope your town gets the roof situation taken care of without too much hassle, Rob.
Just about everybody in my town and most towns around here have shingle problems GT, which creates a few other problems, like shortage of roofers and roofing, I predict.
I wish I could go take the shingles vaccine and get rid of my current shingle problems.
Elijah J. usually takes it in stride. He tried not to show his nervousness, but, it showed. He was stuck to me like super glue, every time I moved he was right on my heels. When I saw those high 60's and 73 mph SW wind gusts showing up outside and exact on our Mesonet system, we moved to the basement for over an hour, then back to the kitchen on the northeast side. At one point, we heard a long low pitch raking noise from the front of my house and I remember saying to him, I wonder what that was ?I later found that was when my down spout got turned 90 degrees and had raked over the shutters.
His usual afternoon normally involves cat napping it away ...... not one time did he fall asleep. He slept really good that night, after the winds went away.![]()
Thanks for the info, Mike. Maybe I'll just have to "roll the dice" on one some day.I only have two and I ordered them both online. I do have a large Case dealer about 50 miles away that would probably let me look at a few samples if I asked nicely![]()
Thanks for the info. I misidentified your stag knife - sorry. I thought it was another Case mini trapper (with very nice stag for a Case); didn't realize it was one of those long, lean 48s! That's even better!"That black Alox Pioneer (?) and stag mini trapper are a superb pair! I thought you had a nice yellow mini trapper, and now you've got a stunning stag one?"
I DO
I did some wheeling and dealing on the Facebook groups
I still have my yeller mini-trapper
And the gec 77 clip
And I traded the gec 15 orange camel bone for the stag #48 trapper
For some inexplicable reason I couldn't bring myself to carry that orange 15, it's like I was subconsciously afraid I would break it ...so I moved it on for something I will and do carry.
Oh and yeah it's a black pioneer![]()
Top-notch piano key pair, Jer!
Thanks for your reactions, David. Looking forward to the review you mentioned!5K Qs
I like them pretty well GT, I was a Kershaw modern fanboy to begin with. A Ken Onion Blur was my edc for years. These Culpeppers are pretty dang good jacks in my opinion, I love the patina the copper one getting on the grip. Covers isn't the right word as they're solid slabs of copper on each side. I'm going to be posting about the Kershaw Federalist soon, kind of a review. Stay tuned![]()
That trapper and the Country Cousin you posted recently are a couple of handsome knives, Frank! This Canal Street single blade trapper in amber bone and 14-4CrMo.
(14-4Cr-Mo was an alloy made by Latrobe Steel, now a part of Carpenter Steel. It has a composition matching that of ATS-34 and 154CM. I don't think Carpenter still offers it.)
The bone on this one is to die for.

Certainly agree, the bone is rich and the steel's a great slicerThis Canal Street single blade trapper in amber bone and 14-4CrMo.

Which museum I'd that in Mr.P?During the wind storm the other day, I removed my Cattaraugus Magnet Display board from its usual place at the end of my hallway.
I took it to the basement and put it in a steel toolbox drawer.
Back in place this morning ...... some of my favorites are not on it right now ...... in my carry rotation.
I thought a few of you that frequent the totin' thread might enjoy seeing what I see every day.
I apologize for the board not looking quite square or rather rectangular due to my smartphone limitations, but, it is perfectly rectangular.

About half my Catt collection on the board at any one time.
Well now I need to go watch that movie too!Nate I know you live on Molokai but whenever I see the background in your photos I always think of the movie Donovan’s Reef. Ironically I watched it again this morning![]()
