Harry, that is some amazing history you carried today. The craftsmanship is fantastic.Last week we had a little Ice Storm that broke a lot of limbs in the area . We never had any damage but our neighbor behind us did lose one and it fell across the alley and partly onto our property and in front of my back building . I eventually will have to get into that building so I decided to take care of it today . I stopped cutting big limbs and or trees years ago and gave away my power saw but I do have some smaller battery powered saws and decided to get'r done anyhow .

Never once used these but had them in my pockets anyhow .

Job Done !!!

Thanks for the info.Yessir — got about 8 inches of heavy wet snow here in SE Michigan. Took a real toll on the trees, unfortunately. Glad you like the wildlife photos — we border a nature preserve, so every day makes for some interesting viewing. This morning, a Belted Kingfisher enjoyed his breakfast…

Thanks for the well-wishes, Bob.Thanks for your kind comments Gary.
For you and all the teachers, I hope this part of the year flies by; it never did for me.
Thanks, JB.You’re much better at this than I am, Gary. All I had was, I stabbed a man in Reno…
Then I thought about I’ve Been Everywhere, which was covered by JC, and my head started to ache.
Sounds like a perfect trade. I saw a couple of recent photos (yesterday I think) of your stag trapper on a post; I thought they were great, but I'm a sucker for knife-on-a-post pics!Indeed
I was smitten at first sight
And the gentleman seemed equally smitten with my orange 15
Seems we both feel we got the better of that particular trade![]()
Interesting info on your revolver! The Texas Jack has been a pleasure to carry so far, and I look forward to continuing its use this month.
The fixed blade is a Loveless style "Stiffhorn" made by Mr. Phillip Patton, who is here on bladeforums.
As for the revolver, I can understand some are not interested in firearms. However, like traditional knives, they can carry a lot of history and that is one of the biggest appeals to me. The revolver pictured is an early post war smith and wesson 38 special. Produced around 1950, it predates their current model number system, which would later rename this as a model 10. Also like traditional knives, there are collectors of certain models, certain vintages, certain brands, particular characteristics of certain models, etc.
I enjoy seeing your display of the knives you plan to carry for the coming week!Hope all the deck denizens have a wonderful week.
Pile of stuff for the next 7 days:

Thanks for the confirmation, Paul. Thanks, Gary! Conductor is correct (with coping secondary, a la CKNet SFO).
I don't know which knife is the Democrat and which is the Republican, but I'm voting for that Case whittler!1970 Case 6308 Whittler and a 92 Northfield for Monday.

Thanks, Bob.Grand choices Gary. It's nice to see damascus occasionally.![]()
I like animal shields. That knife/shield combo makes me wish I had a Shiner Bock, with a ram's head bottlecap!
Thanks, Jeff. Thanks for your compliments, and the Johnny Cash references!
...
Fine lookin bone on that top one, Gary!
I think you're just illustrating a principle of physics, Jeff, but I'm not sure whether sticking with the same knives is an example of "momentum" or and example of "inertia".For some reason lately, I’ve fallen into the habit of carrying the same knives day after day. Enjoy your day!
Sensational covers on both of those, Steve!
Congrats! I hadn't heard of that 80 whittler pattern before - that's a big one!Recently landed this 6380 and it went right into the pocket. I know understand the hypeView attachment 2106495
Those 93 lambsfoot knives are certainly elegant examples of the pattern!Carrying these two today. Never did really understand all the excitement over a Lambsfoot, but since the 24 days I untubed this one, I get it. I love it!I have to somehow get more of ‘em, but the problem is I can’t find them.

You are a silver-tongued devil, with a fine wood Böker, sir!
I agree, GT, I also thought of the traveling knives. Earl’s been everywhere man/Merle’s been everywhere man...I looked at the "I've Been Everywhere" lyrics and decided that would be way too complicated for my purposes!Might be a good long-term project to do as a shout-out to BF members from various places.
Good morning Gary,Thanks for the info.8 inches of snow in March is less than ideal! Thanks for another fine photo from "Michigan Outdoors".

Thanks for the well-wishes, Bob.Had spring break last week after 7 straight weeks of school with no interruptions. Now we're back to finish the semester before the end of April, but several stops and starts for "advising breaks", Good Friday/Easter, etc.
Thanks, JB.I have lots of practice changing the lyrics of songs to fit my personal circumstances - I used to always sing (badly) to my daughter, starting when I'd change her diapers (and I changed a lot of diapers), and now I sing to the dog about meals and walks and chores.

Very handsome copperlock, Bob!What's the skinny little knife?
Sensational 66, Paul!Is that the muskrat version (Mink Skinner)?
Nice 25, Will!![]()
I think you've posted a calendar before; do calendars in Finland always display the days starting with Monday and ending with Sunday? I don't think I've ever had a calendar that was not Sunday through Saturday.
Thanks, Bob.I really can't take credit for "choices", though, since the knives that get carried together for a week are really a random assignment from my rotation schedule. (This week I had to do a "fix", since the same knife happened to show up as the Stag/Horn representative AND as the Lambsfoot representative - can't have that in the same week!
)

Very nice BF knife.
Thanks, man!You win. You made me look that word up. That is one mighty handsome handle scale you have on that knife.
