What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Beautiful Mr.P....I'm sure it would put a new one to shame. 👍
Hope service returns to normal soon.☹️
Absolute stunner!
I've had similar problems this week Mr P, probably just a coincidence though. That's a beauty of a Barlow :)

Thank you my friends.  😊 Maybe we are on the same Al Gore circuit Mr. Jack.🤣

Paired my Lanny’s Clip with the 61 I’ve carried all week for St. Patty’s Day. Pictured with my Irish Great-Grandparents Miles and Molly on their wedding day.

Beautiful Lanny's Clip !!!😍😍😍

Very pretty cell, Rob.

Thank you Jeff and I loved that GEC 92 with clip you were toting around. 😊

Hey, Primble! Just what's in that thing anyway? Never seen anything like it.

It is a celluloid Lobster Pen made by the New York Knife Company. It's real purty. 😊

When I was researching celluloid ..... (actually I was researching it to see if I was ok sanding it and how they finished it .... and so I wouldn't blow myself up 🔥💥💥) I learned that they took the colors and rolled it like we do dough ..... so that made me see how all the colors get mixed up. It has a real depth to it that acrylic doesn't have. It has its own space all alone and away from all my other knives, just in case it wants to get rowdy, after a hundred years. I also read in one of the articles that the dark colors are not near as problematic as lighter colors. I apologize if that is more info than you wanted to know. 😊

Just to show a couple more green knives : I Almost carried these 2 Green Boned Bulldogs but decided to go with the above Pickle Knife .

Harry

Love that pair of Barlows Mr. Harry !!:thumbsup:😍😍

Needed to go into the plant today instead of working from home. The onsite rules are extremely restrictive on how large a pocket knife can be carried on site. Even a peanut is larger than their limit.
Howsoever, Case Tiny Wharncliffe Trapper meets the size limit:

Finished the work part of my work trip early so I went out exploring, including a stop at the Puget Sound Naval Museum. Part of their workload is scrapping old submarines:

This small portion of pressure hull steel from one such sub weighs…8 lbs!!! Did I mention that steel is 2” thick?

One of the next subs slated to go to the dead fleet for recycling is my first sub, USS Chicago. They are already inside the shipyard and I was able to get onboard and check out how she has aged in the past 20 years since I left. It was great to talk to some of the sailors still stationed aboard her and also got some swag before I departed.

The sail of USS PARCHE (SSN 683) is outside the museum. If you don’t know her story, i recommend reading Blind Man’s Bluff by Sherry Sontag.

Thanks for the tour Jeremy...very interesting. I did catch your sweet little knife too.
Thanks for your service.

Wharncliffe trapper today. I didn’t get the green knife memo until tonight when I looked at the forum. At least the grass is green.

I wonder why there wasn’t more GEC hemlock green carried today 😁
Great too see all that green grass for your herd behind that nice Case.
This week's weekenders.

You have the '23 knife?!? I was unaware there was one already. It is only March, the 2023 knife must be the earliest yet. The 2022was still being delivered in January of 23.
What is it?

Going back to the 391222 Bunny and 852211 Harness Jack today.

Well… scarlet fever is now added to the strep as I now have rashes everywhere. Yay… me. Didn’t think adults could get that.

Gator for the green today and the 65 as well. Still on heavy antibiotics so it’s non-alcohol for me.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all!
Hope the meds work. I did not realize scarlet fever still existed.

Fascinating to read through these and see the history. I know you had to truly enjoy the day. I immediately went into Hunt for Red October mode (which my brother and I watched dozens of times as kids and memorized every word of) thinking about the Parche. That believe that would have been the same era. Thanks for sharing!

To clarify, the '23 is from a different subforum. I too am still hoping for a '23 porch knife also.
This one was a nice experience, from a supporting dealer, little interest to flippers, ordered and received within a week.
