Quite the fancy pair you chose for Saturday !:thumbsup:😍

Yessir. Healed up just in time to go see two of my kids first rock band performance tonight at their talent show. Proud daddy moment coming up!

Having my hands on a ‘30’s Craftsman is pretty neat. It was a great GAW to win for sure.
Following in Dad’s footsteps, eh? 👌
I hope you got him his own axe so he doesn’t try to take one of yours!
My middle boy did that as well. They got pretty darned good for high schoolers, even recorded a couple of cds.

You must be planning on a rough day, carrying the Buck

Would like to see more of what the antenna is connected to
Plan for the best, prepare for the worst🫣
The Buck is my car knife. It lives wedged between the seat and console.
Nice 1s
It was never a big deal for me, until my daughter was born on St Patricks day, just turned 17😯
Oh yeah she plays electric guitar too.
A sign of good parenting!

Finished the work part of my work trip early so I went out exploring, including a stop at the Puget Sound Naval Museum. Part of their workload is scrapping old submarines:

This small portion of pressure hull steel from one such sub weighs…8 lbs!!! Did I mention that steel is 2” thick?

One of the next subs slated to go to the dead fleet for recycling is my first sub, USS Chicago. They are already inside the shipyard and I was able to get onboard and check out how she has aged in the past 20 years since I left. It was great to talk to some of the sailors still stationed aboard her and also got some swag before I departed.

The sail of USS PARCHE (SSN 683) is outside the museum. If you don’t know her story, i recommend reading Blind Man’s Bluff by Sherry Sontag.

Thanks for the photos! I can only imagine your memories as you stepped aboard your old boat.
Well… scarlet fever is now added to the strep as I now have rashes everywhere. Yay… me. Didn’t think adults could get that.

Gator for the green today and the 65 as well. Still on heavy antibiotics so it’s non-alcohol for me.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all!
Man, that’s rough. My Grandfather had scarlet fever as a boy, and suffered an enlarged heart, which eventually led to congestive heart failure. Thank God for modern medicine! Best for a full and quick recovery.
Maybe we are on the same Al Gore circuit Mr. Jack.🤣

When I was researching celluloid .....

I apologize if that is more info than you wanted to know. 😊
I’ll bet half of Tennessee has a rolling brownout when that guy turns on all the lights in his little shack🙄

Don’t apologize for sharing your wisdom! I thought it was interesting.

I can go on and on about things nobody else cares to hear.🥺
I hope everyone is heading for a calm weekend.

I hope it works. We don’t need any negative vibes, man.

Unless you’re getting tested for the Wuflu!😎

It is a celluloid Lobster Pen made by the New York Knife Company. It's real purty. 😊

When I was researching celluloid ..... (actually I was researching it to see if I was ok sanding it and how they finished it .... and so I wouldn't blow myself up 🔥💥💥) I learned that they took the colors and rolled it like we do dough ..... so that made me see how all the colors get mixed up. It has a real depth to it that acrylic doesn't have. It has its own space all alone and away from all my other knives, just in case it wants to get rowdy, after a hundred years. I also read in one of the articles that the dark colors are not near as problematic as lighter colors. I apologize if that is more info than you wanted to know. 😊
Awesome!
Thank you, sir!

I hope everyone is heading for a calm weekend.

yessir. He was up there showboating like a champ. He’s only 10, but is already a solid drummer. They did good. My daughter will be the guitarist. We’ll see how long it takes before she has interest in the Les Paul/Strat arsenal. She is well pleased with her acoustic and ukulele for now.
