Thanks for nailing down the model number and age range, much appreciated.On the positive side ......... it has some fine looking bone (including color), tight to the bolsters, appears to have all hammered pins, plus the Indian Trail jigging, plus the shield is in nice alignment.
I think it was a popular model for Cattaraugus. I think yours has to be nearly one hundred or older. I hope it has nice snap on all the blades (most Catts do) and that you give it some pocket time. It is really nice to see someone else post such a fine looking Carpenter's Whittler. Oops .............. now who's drooling ?![]()

32879 is absolutely the model number for that knife ..... doesn't matter if the number disappeared with age or it might have never been on there to begin with.
