Bark River Boot-Knife in Micarta, Jérôme Latreille Gouttière in Warthog tusk for Easter Sunday. Enjoy the day.
Hope you had a great time with your family, Bart.I have not been on the forum as I’ve spent the last several days in non knife-friendly venues and not on my phone while on vacation with the family.

Quite the collection Gary. You have to fine examples there.9 years ago this month, I ordered a set of 12 different Rough Rider patterns, all in amber jigged bone. My plan to get to know those knives, most of which were patterns new to me (since I really only knew the scout pattern), was to carry and use each one for a week, then switch to another. But 2 of the patterns messed up my plan because I couldn't get them out of my pocket after a week; each of them stayed in my pocket for a month instead because I was so enamored with the pattern. That was a surprise to me! Anyway, both of those RRs are on my carry schedule this week.

My first ever sowbelly stockman (I now have a dozen of this pattern, I think):

Your Tina is gorgeous Mr.P.Mostly sunny, with a high near 69. Light and variable wind becoming southwest 5 to 7 mph in the morning. Looks like a fine Monday.
Trying my best not to see scary critters.

Superlative pair of knives, Jeff!
I doubt if there's a night that could drive that old Dixie down!
Stunning stag Winchester!
Satisfying sowbelly!
Congrats on finding that handsome old Remington Scout!Found this 1930's Remington RS3333 Scout-Camp knife down at the Rags to Richies Antique mall Wednesday. Some might remember the nice old Russell knives I found there a while back. This one checked most of the boxes for me ..... strong snap on all four tools, nice full blades, bone with no cracks, and a good price.
I called it my last year to be in my sixties gift from Elijah J.![]()
Not much more than an alcohol swabbing, clean up with steel wool and oil. I like the way it looks for the kind of knife it is.
I've been totin' it the last three days. I might eventually clean it a little more, but, kinda doubting that I will. Reserve the right to change my mind though.

Robust and rugged rosewood HHB, Taylor!![]()
Went with the HHB again!
Looks like a very versatile and useful pair of knives, Steve!
My grandpa used to call those fish "specs" when he'd take me fishing 60 or more years ago. I looked up "crappie" on Wikipedia and learned that "specs" or "speckled bass" is a common name for that species, especially in Michigan!Eureka Jack today. Kept 24.

Congrats on finally getting a sweet Ulster BSA knife!Had been carrying Benchmades the last few days, but I picked this up today so it is going to ride in my pocket for a few days. I wanted one of these so bad when I was in the scouts back in the late 70's, early 80's but couldn't afford it. I am only 40 years late

Cool that you could locate that old fish knife!Well, didn't find the exact one I was looking for, but we found this one in my old tackle box, which I haven't touched in decades. Can't identify it, and it's in bad shape.

Thanks Jeremy, thanks Bob. It was my kids’ first time at Disneyland and we had a blast…though not the most relaxing vacation.Looks like a wonderful weekend for all Bart.
That Tina looks great, Rob. It’s a nice vintage look you gave it.Mostly sunny, with a high near 69. Light and variable wind becoming southwest 5 to 7 mph in the morning. Looks like a fine Monday.

It’s the fear of exactly that happening which compels me to keep a SAK in my orher pocket. But then the question becomes did I really need it, or was I just looking for an excuse to “need” it?View attachment 2147219
I actually needed my humble tinker small today but for the life of me I cannot remember the special place I put it!
I’m glad you got a TL-29.When I was a kid these were always around. Made by Camillus or more likely Klein tools since pops sold that brand. I remember the sheepsfoot, hawkbill and this one with the screwdriver. Figured it would be fun to own one again. Just a good, useful knife. This one seems like 1970s with the tang stamp.

Since Camillus used celluloid in making those pretty Ivoroid scales, do you segregate your Big Jack from other knives? I finally wised up and did so with my Camillus 23s after finding some otherwise unexplained peppering on the little Schrade jack I’m totin today.
I was going to comment on your decision, but decided not to.Gonna just up and start Monday off with this Ebony wood and 14C28N steel

When we fly, thankfully not too often, my family knows why I have to check a bag!Had these two on me yesterday and nothing for today as I’ve got to catch a plane. But the lamb is in my luggage. View attachment 2147747View attachment 2147748
