What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

For the first time in weeks I don't have a knife in my pocket
But it's Sunday and I am merely wearing sleep pants anyways

But I am oiling and cleaning knives while watching YouTube videos about the Prussian/Austrian war because I am a weird history nerd.

It's amazing how rusty my carbon steel knives get just sitting in the house. I can only assume it's because my sweat is so caustic it starts rusting when I touch my knives 😬
And just Mississippi humidity in general

Once again I’m compelled to compliment your SAK modding. 👌
Are the pins through pins, or just holding the covers?
I need to research taking SAKs apart…

Nice pair.
Some folks have strong opinions on half stops , I don’t. I have and like both with and without, but admit I feel a bit safer with.
Which of the two do you prefer?

Nice! Are the scales titanium? And if so, do you have tools that can engrave it?

I imagine it’s like getting the first ding on a new guitar~ almost a relief.
Almost. 😁

Beautiful pair, nicely shot. 👌

Nice choices, Jose’.
I should tote the 5 more often…

Very thoughtful and hospitable of Johnny.
It’s very uncomfortabke to not have a knife!
Meeting fellow Porchsters is a real pleasure.

Not sure of the difference, but 125 USAs are fairly easy to find.

I dig the polished amber stag on the edges.
Awesome chunk of old wood for knife posing, too.
Thanks B! Yes, they go thru all the way, and they hold the scales to (with some extra glue). I have used a pipe just like the original bushing, but I make it 0,5mm longer. That way I can peen against the tube and only make a small sinking in the scale. Not a method I would recommend to anyone due to all the extra work, but it works really well and the pins look nice 😊

Thanks. The chunk of awesome old wood is the top of the record player cabinet my wife's late father built back in the 50's

An exciting day at the boot sale today,I can confirm after a minor incident that honesty is the best policy. 😁

Carried an Olde Englise Barlowe 🤭

And my old 77 and telescoping space pen in a leather slip.

The slip I had made so that carrying that pen (which is sharper than the bullet) wouldnt make a hole in the "sky rocket of my callard and bowsers".

Dont get yer Alan Whickers in a twist trying to work out what that means....🤣🤣🤣

Looked around the bike shops laughed (inside at least) at the English Harley riders wearing Chaps, waistcots, chains and other rigamarole as if they where heading south on the PCF for a rodeo, rather than stuck in traffing heading to Milton Keynes for a bacon sandwich.
Wellys, seaboot socks and a stout overcoat would be more appropriate English atire in this rain. ;)

Oh and its good to see the pound shop has gone all out to support the coronation 😂😂😂

Question if a sharp knife is safer than a blunt one how come when I was oiling my Bunny tonight I took another very painful and bloody chunk out of my finger?

This arrived today, carried it for a few hours, until this happened :(

It's the new Case medium stockman with S35vn steel, must be hard as the blade just went 'snap' and that's all she wrote.

I put in a request to Case to get a replacement, hopefully they can act on it quickly
G2
Just another confirmation of my decision to leave Case by the wayside.

When someone buys a new car they’re careful of new and improved transmissions, motors, etc. Case needs to work out the bugs involved in super metals for blades.
