I would carry those two beauties for awhile too Jon.👍
Does your wife know about this honeymoon?😁
She says - “as long as I get a date night a week and a Friday away from the kids a month - do what you want with your knives and chat room buddies. 🫡 yes ma’am!
Two great choices!
Really lovin’ the 33 … hard to kick out of your pocket, isn’t it?
👍🏼👍🏼
I’m definitely starting to bond!!!

I'm not overly worried about it, I expect Case to turn that around quickly, until then, these seem to be doing just fine ;)

Sweet collection and always love your photos. Growing up less than an hour from Bradford, I’m very fond of Case knives and I’m sure they will make it right. As a ceramic engineer/materials scientist, I keep looking at your fractured Stockman. A break that clean and severe points to a heat treating issue combined with a microstructural flaw that created a stress riser. The fracture looks like the brittle failure of a ceramic!! Enough nerd talk …

For the first time in weeks I don't have a knife in my pocket
But it's Sunday and I am merely wearing sleep pants anyways

But I am oiling and cleaning knives while watching YouTube videos about the Prussian/Austrian war because I am a weird history nerd.

It's amazing how rusty my carbon steel knives get just sitting in the house. I can only assume it's because my sweat is so caustic it starts rusting when I touch my knives 😬
And just Mississippi humidity in general
I always save those annoying dessicant canisters that come in vitamin and rx bottles, and put them in my knife cigar boxes. I don’t really know if they actually help…
Question if a sharp knife is safer than a blunt one how come when I was oiling my Bunny tonight I took another very painful and bloody chunk out of my finger?

You’re not supposed to have your eyes on the telly while sliding a blade between your fingers? Just a wild guess😁

How on earth did you Englishers mangle “pocket” into “sky rocket”?

Wait til Mrs McD finds out “do what you want with your knives” means an endless and inescapable cycle of relentless acquisition!

Mrs McD sounds like a cool lass. 🤙

If I’m not mistaken, is that a pic of Malcolm Reynolds from the TV/Movie series Firefly?

Indeed it is, one of my favorite shows, a shame that it ended way too soon. The wood is actually a couple of pieces of pine I glued together, routed two grooves on the underside which then allows it to rest across my desk drawer when opened, giving me another area to work on, very handy. The way I put the image on there was to print the image in reverse on some wax paper and then carefully layed it down and pressed it evenly so the ink transfered into the wood and then coated the wood with a clear finish.

Have you tried vacationing in soothing, relaxing Miranda yet?

Still on the honeymoon with these two.

I love your jigged bone 85. Who did the work on this one? I tried to have one recovered with jigged bone, but the slabs of jigged bone we ordered from Culpeper’s had cracks in them. We went with Black Ash burl. This one was done by David Valdivieso.

I thought so. One of my favorites as well. Another was “Defiance”. There’s nothing like a good sci-fi drama with a western theme.

Many thanks my friend, superb pair of Saturday Schrades there, absolutely gorgeous
Thank you very much for your kind words, Jack!!! :)
Have a great Sunday everyone :) I thought these two would put a spring in my step :)
