What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks. There is a story about this knife and handle.
At the beginning, an order was placed online and the knife got delivered, but the tip seemed to be not acceptable.

Then I asked the dealer to change another one, after the new one arrived, I noticed the 2 sides of the scale had big differences, one side is more thicker than another.

Asked in BF and got replies it was common for stage horn since it's not easy to find 2 pieces at same thickness to match each other.

But after some days considering, I still decided to go to the shop to try my luck, then drive over 300KM to the physical shop and finally get this one. (I wanted to give as a gift to my friend, but finally I choose another gift and keep this myself)

One question I am still confusing:
some of the stage horn handles are "black" texture (like in the images in this reply), some are "brown" (like the image in my OP one), no idea why and if there is any impact?
It’s been my experience that sometimes you get stag handles that are well matched and sometimes not. If yours is going to be a user I think it’s fine.

Thank you very much, Jack!!! :)

That's always an awesome combination of cool cutters; I really love that you have an edged Guardian of your Lambsfoot, as well!:D

Two nice choices for the day Gary, especially the Remington.

Bob
Nice pair of Canoes !
Thanks, Bob & Steve. :) That (Chinese) Remington was a "10 buck bargain" at a local gun and knife show. The seller had at least 20 of them spread out on a table. They were in clamshell packs, but the seller had opened all of them so shoppers could take them out, see both sides, and try out the action. I probably spent at least 20 minutes there "picking a winner"; subsequently, I've spent WAY too much time staring into the burl of the one I bought.🤓

Good pair of knives for the Market!

Cattaraugus Carpenters Whittler and my Chris Montgomery Custom Bird & Trout knife for Thursday. I had always noticed a laughing fish jumping pattern in the Damascus and a Wood Duck. Yesterday, I noticed a pattern of bird eggs and a chick hatching, as well as a few bird heads ................................... and I always thought he called it a bird and trout knife because he patterned it that way ............. maybe not ! 😊
