Stallion today
The seed co. knife is perfect for your farm duties.
I see a lot of you guys totin Bokers, and enjoy seeing them. And this morning, it struck me that I like that one because it’s so much like my beloved Camillus Jacks.
I got my first chance to get my grubby paws on an Albers over breakfast before the recent knife show. Impressive.
The adult version of the fidget spinner?
Ah. You’re making the best you can out of a mess. There had been a 3 bdrm 2 bath 1500 sq ft house on that lot for over 80yrs until this past January.
The dwelling had become uninhabitable and was even toxic in material and environment.
When demolition was performed, some of the rubble was buried on site with little more than existing soil.
The conditions were not ideal for a lovely nutritious garden.
So I brought in a total of 88 cu ft of soil to level the lot and distance the rubble, glass shards, hazards, remaining pipe, plugged sewer lines and such.
I hope to have a nice SAFE larger level area to exercise my dog with plenty of safe area available for a garden, even raised bed(s) if needed.
Sometimes when ground is not virgin, safe for pets and humans or ideal, the choice is not simply one or the other.
Fencing to commence May 8th after the fresh earth settles a bit and grass should have begun to sprout.
Does that tick remover work better than a red hot match head and a pair of SAK tweezers?
A Canadian Belt Knife certainly is a traditional knife! And welcome to the porch, Dextar. Not sure whether this is "traditional knife" or not, but my first post in this topic.

That whittler is B e a utifulCattaraugus Carpenters Whittler and my Chris Montgomery Custom Bird & Trout knife for Thursday. I had always noticed a laughing fish jumping pattern in the Damascus and a Wood Duck. Yesterday, I noticed a pattern of bird eggs and a chick hatching, as well as a few bird heads ................................... and I always thought he called it a bird and trout knife because he patterned it that way ............. maybe not !

Thanks, Jeff! The Cramer Lanny's Clip is one of my long time favorites. It doesn't get out as much as it deserves. The little Giant Mouse is really handy to have on the belt or in the pocket.Quite a combo, Gary. Capable and beautiful.
Good morning Jeff, it is 3 1/4 inches. A very comfortable length for my hand.Quite a combo, Gary. Capable and beautiful.

I also had never heard of that wood, so I looked it up…
Tropical Africa and Asia, with the figured burl like yours mostly from Asia.

Ah. You’re making the best you can out of a mess.
I remember your posts about buying that next door property, and the ramshackle mess of a house.
Totally agree that there are better places to grow food.

I love the oxymoronic button. Like Public Servant, or Military Itelligence![]()
I really like these Bokers. I chased a Northwoods IRJ (unsuccessfully) for a long time and these remind me a lot of them. They are great knives that are easy to carry and put to use.Quite a combo, Gary. Capable and beautiful.

Hubba Hubba for Hugo! That's a beauty of a stag whittler, FBC!
Notable pair, Bob!Don't know why...they just caught my eye.View attachment 2162126
ED, maybe you need to get a toy trash truck you can mess with to boost the excitement level; I wonder if they have radio-controlled ones that you could drive around your property? Not much going on today. I'm kinda in a slump since the trash truck left. Gotta get some excitement going somehow. It'll have to wait though. My mouth is super sensitive this morning. Maybe watching NASCAR later with a cold ice tea will help. I've got this Scout Trapper a gift from John @JohnDF out today.

Where is @JohnDF lately anyway? Hope he didn't get PO'ed at us.
Notable pair, Jeff; that Churchill is a charmer!Jim, that smoked cheddar looks awesome! Still packin' the Churchill and Cadet.

Best of Cream was one of the first albums I bought when I joined the Columbia Record Club in 1970; still one of my favorites, although I don't have a decent turntable anymore. Bought quite a few albums for an average cost of 1-2 dollars each back then.
Delightful duo, Steve!
I thought I knew what "slattern" meant, even though I never use the word (I tend to use harlot, tramp, or floozy). But I found out it had another, slightly less offensive, meaning.I was carrying/fiddling with the Club again, then JeffAmir Fleschwund inspired me to go find an old Pal. I EDC'd this 12OT for a few years before I became a knife slattern.

Your kids didn't take the turtles with them? You're a lucky man, Todd! These two for me today. Loving the Lamb and the Case was a bit of a grail chase for me.View attachment 2163242

Thanks for the update, John!Busy with work, playing a lot of cornhole, and just taking a break from the forum... mostly just check and post in the Guardian's thread.
General knife prices, "a certain brand's" availability, and recent quality issues with Case have me a lot less interested in collecting these days.
This knife pulled me down the rabbit hole. Small and unobtrusive at 3 1/8". Hides in your pocket with secondary pen providing enough width so it doesn't hide in your hand. Main blade my preferred shape to use. Jack configuration means no blade rub. CV steel takes a fine edge, chestnut bone is on point. Nice snap / halfstops on both blades, no hotspots. Tony designed a great little pocketknife. Not collab standards but pretty sweet for a production knife. Used to be widely available, my go to gift but they have dried up. Wish Case would revive this pattern in collab standards. If I need more knife, it's going to be a fixed blade. Have a great day!

I think I have one of those, John. I'm not sure where I put it. I did put my hands on this one though. You're right, a nice little knife that'll do most of what you need. I figured I'd switch it up afer seeing yours.
