Thanks Bart, that’s exactly the look I was going for. Thanks, Todd. The jigging on that came out really cool. At first glance I thought it was a vintage knife you had picked up. Nice work.![]()
Wow!....another Robeson...I just admire the craftsmanship.
I hope all have a good day.View attachment 2172329
The rawness left by the spines really put them in another league. Both of my small Lon Humphrey's and Osage Orange for Tuesday.

Do you ever rehydrate the freeze dried fruit or just eat it out of the bag ?Freeze Dryer completed the apple run this morning, so I bagged the bulk of them in gallon size mylar bags with an O2 absorber for longer storage, and put the rest in some smaller clear front snack size mylar bags and some easy access ones in a mason jar. Still have another batch or two to run from this bushel.

Captivating Catt, Rob!Cattaraugus Carpenters Whittler and my Chris Montgomery Custom Bird & Trout knife for Thursday. I had always noticed a laughing fish jumping pattern in the Damascus and a Wood Duck. Yesterday, I noticed a pattern of bird eggs and a chick hatching, as well as a few bird heads ................................... and I always thought he called it a bird and trout knife because he patterned it that way ............. maybe not !

Couple of venerable but virile knives, Jeff!Today I have a Case whittler from 1972, and a much older four line Camillus in cocobolo.

Enjoy your day!
I am waiting at my auto repair guy’s shop for new brakes and one replaced wheel bearing. Expensive morning.![]()
WooHoo for walnut, Gary!Today I'm sporting two that I should have carried yesterday, both Walnut handled. Could have been a Walnut Wood Wednesday. Oh well, missed my chance!

Hey, you're right, Paul, there are TWO knives in the photo!
...
I’ve had mine in my pocket most days since I got it, including last night for dinner and drinks before seeing Hamilton at the Orpheum in Minneapolis. (Unfortunately the Lamb had to stay in the truck during the show; not allowed in the theater.)
...

That Hamilton must have been a burly guy!Looks like your lamb got a bit thirsty after attending Hamilton...
Thanks, Barrett -- I've enjoyed the pics of your lamb, as well. It's a beauty!
And, here's a solidarity "shot"...

I like the geometrical bolsters on your knife!
That cast metal knife with the bugling elk is a handsome piece!
Wow, that was fast! I hope you get years of trouble-free transportation from your RAV4!Anyways I survived
And I am home with a new vehicle
Clean, simple, beautiful lines on that pair, Paul!Harvester and Lambfoot.

Congrats on the new mini trapper! I think a black knife with silver hardware looks especially elegant and dignified, whatever the pattern.I liked the other Mini Trapper I have so much, I had to get another one, also in CV.

We just eat the fruit out of the bag. It is an easy to pack snack. Flavors are slightly stronger than the fresh fruit because all of the water content is gone, so the sugars of the fruit come through more. The one exception is that sometimes we will put one of the strawberries in a glass of champagne or prosecco. Meats, soups, and other dishes we will rehydrate. Probably one of the best items that we make occasionally is ice cream sandwiches. Delicious snacks, but they are hard to keep in the house because they get eaten too quickly.Do you ever rehydrate the freeze dried fruit or just eat it out of the bag ?
Nice blues today !![]()

Thanks, my friendI have three in my back yard ....... mine have already bloomed ..... blooms are now gone and all leafed out. One of my favorite times of the year when they bloom.![]()

Nice job on the Camillus ..... I like the covers !![]()
Love it when we find an easential function for our knives, which is just what SAKs excel at.I wear eyeglasses, which is why I like SAK's little screwdriver in the corkscrew . My current pair of specs, however, use Phillips head screws instead of slotted. In a moment of extreme lucidity, I had an epiphany this morning and discovered that the screwdriver on the SAK Rambler works perfectly to tighten up those pesky little screws. Pretty exciting stuff, eh? View attachment 2171701

Also went to town to run errands, whereupon I discovered the blower motor in the truck making rude noises. When I got home, I pulled it out and removed a big mouse nest. Not the first time this has happened. I should get another cat. Ya know...these new emojis really are terrible. The cat doesn't even look like a cat.
So, here's NinjaCat instead View attachment 2171715
Thank you sir! Thanks Jeff. The stag on those German knives is good stuff.
You did a nice job on that Camillus stockman.
Today was the sowbellies turn.

I can tell you put some work into getting it right. You got that right Jeff, and I have several practice knives to prove it!
Beautiful photo!![]()
Beautiful daughter!Nothing like an elementary school track meet, especially when your daughter DOMINATES!
She crushed the literal mile by a figurative mile. Having knives of course is essential for speed.

When the time comes, one of mine will be seeing daily use. I work over my termater plants, and prune out the suckers below the first branch bearing flowers. I’ve got both, but usually use the one with the hawkbill pruning blade. Put the flat side against the stem, and the chisel ground side out, and give it a gentle pull, and done.Like the dickens?
I've been giving my florist quite a bit of carry of late. Light weight in the pocket, good grip for an arthritic octogenarian, and like said, it cuts like the dickens. Plus I just love the single sheep foot blade. Kinda old timey.
Love that dark stag!Found this stag treasure from the 70s. And guess what not one gap and perfect walk and talk.

Hope everyone had a great Monday.
I agree that the Buck Forum Knife is possible the best user. That's a fact
I like a Stockman when I want a 3 blade knife, usually mated to a single-blade, but this Buck covers both bases. My most carried and used Forum Knife - very fortunate to have a backup one too- great steel that sharpens beautifully, American Elk and no brass liners...
