What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Very nice Jon...you reminded me to dig out a spearpoint for the weekend.
Good luck! I hope you don’t get selection paralysis. You sure have a lot of great ones to choose from 😃! What pen knife was that you were sportin today?

Took a flyer and picked up this Vic Scientist which has been assembled out of parts knives. The handles are some kind of plastic. They have a good feel and a little texture for good grip. Whoever made them did a pretty decent job.

While taking these pics...what's this? A loose screw? Ha! Got this covered.

Nope, it won't tighten up. Now, folks more particular than I am, might remove the rain guage mount, fill the hole with wood filler, and reinstall. Or maybe just slightly move the entire mount and reattach. Not me. Nope. Just needs a bigger screw :D

Really like the inline Phillips

Case 6383 chestnut bone whittler and Fight'n Rooster in the pockets.
I didn't necessarily need a corkscrew knife when I found the Rooster but the handsome wood scales and
4" closed length appealed to me. Glad I took the plunge. The flat grind blades slice like a dream and both blades plus the corkscrew have gator snap in both directions.
The deep blade etch is also something I like, not gonna wear off quickly with use.
The Case 83 whittler is a pattern who's frame shape appeals to my sense of aesthetics, handy little buggers too. :)

Snake boots not required
Copperhead ... but this one doesn't camouflage well

I am drawing a mental blank trying to remember the Cyclops tang stamp.
When I think of Cyclops, I think of the Taylor’s Eye Witness. So many interesting tang stamps ~ Taylor’s and Hammer Brand being two of my favorites.

I’m not 100%, but I believe that’s just the tang stamp that is used on the GEC stainless 440c stuff. It’s usually in the same position where they stamp “Titusville iron works” on the 1095 blades. Not sure if there’s any exceptions to that statement though haha
