What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I got a question for the porch
Just picked up a buck 112 slim

On one hand....it DOES have thumb studs and a pocket clip which are verboten
On the other hand...it's a modern re-imagining of a uncontested classic traditional model

So I'll pose the question and see what the mods think

I am not a mod, but will share my experience. I posted an early Case Trapperlock (thumb stud, no clip) in this thread. The post was removed and posted on the regular knife thread due to the thumb stud. The rules on this sub state no thumb studs.

The 112 slim is a great knife. It seems that you answered you question in the first line if your post. 🤷

Sorry man, as long as the pic shows the thumbstud and/or pocket clip it is outside the guidelines. Post it up in the trad and mod thread with a victronix or some other traditional, and show it off! Thanks for checking!
I think our thoughts on the subject are, if we change things too much here it might as well be the General Discussion sub. knarfeng knarfeng

Fair enough
Thanks for your time

Under almost any other circumstance I would agree that it was self obvious
But the new.. revamped bucks seemed to be a greyish area so I thought the question was valid

I don’t understand why she is always asking me if my knife is clean. After all, I wipe it on my pantleg every month or so, almost like clockwork.
Reminds me of my brother in law who is a total germaphobe and gets disgusted anytime I use my pocket knife to cut some food when we’re bbqing🤣 I wipe my knives down with EDCi before putting them in my pocket though so I know they’re always clean and usually will wipe them down with a damp cloth beforehand as well but it’s never enough for him since it “came out of my dirty pocket” 🤦‍♂️😂
Love the patina on your viper. Stunning knife and photos as always.

Iris valiantly posed for these shots today so she can hurry up and eat her breakfast 😄
