It's off to town in a bit. Another doctors visit for Cindy and then the usual stops - Wagon Wheel Cafe, Holiday Market, and a stop at the hardware store for faucet washers and new bolts, nuts, and washers for a grader blade. Bunny #525 will tag along for this adventure. My swallow is a bit better so a couple cups of coffee and scrambled eggs for breakfast.

Hope you have a good visit in town and Cindy's doctors visit goes well, Ed. Can't go wrong with a bunny in the pocket. Have a great day my friend.

Ed, I hope all is well with your wife. I hope your Bunny does not see anymore snow for awhile too.

I forgot that the Pocket Pal has been discontinued and the Excelsior introduced. I should get an Excelsior to see if I like it as much as I like Pocket Pals. The Excelsior models are Alox, right?

Both smooth Alox and cellidor. I had the Alox first, found it to be a bit too thin and slippery for my fingers. The cellidor is a bit thicker and slightly stickier, IMHO. But not thick enough to still not be considered a small knife. I wish theye did these in the nylon instead, I think it would be grippier.

edit - the RED Excelsior is also today's pocket companion for me.

Fantastic pair, Paul. Hard to say which one I like better. Nice to see both out in the wild.
That's an option I didn't even know existed, Bart!:thumbsup: When I was a kid, our dairy herd had horns, and some aggressive cows would leave scars on others. My Dad eventually had a guy come who dehorned all of them; that was a bloody business! After that, I think we treated calves with some kind of caustic paste that prevented their horns from developing.

The paste works on dairies because you pull the calves off of the cows at birth. On a beef operation where the calves are nursing you can’t use the paste because it will rub off on the cow’s udder which they don’t appreciate. It’s easiest to just not have horns in the first place and luckily there are good beef breeds without horns. Calves with horns get discounted when they sell because they will bruise other cattle in the feedlot.

Another foggy 🌫️ start to the day in the City by the Bay! I actually turned on the furnace this morning to take the chill off the house. That’s summertime in the City! The Giants and the Dubs both won yesterday and now it comes down to game six. Will it be the end of a dynasty? Keeping me company today is the usual lamb and my new Boker.

That new Boker is interesting to me - I need to do some research on that.
