What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Happy 3rd Birthday to Scout!!!!!

Looks like Scout had a great day Barrett, great pics buddy :)

Scout is a darling. Always enjoy seeing the family outings, Barrett.
Neat easy open

Great post Barrett, just too cute! 😎👍

Happy Birthday Scout! What a treasure! I love the connection she will have with you and her knife. I love being a girl’s dad too 👍🏼.

Happy Belated Birthday to Scout. Sounds like a wonderful day

That's so AWESOME!!! please wish Scout a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY Barrett :)

You’re good Dad, my friend. Those girls have a blessed life.
Tell Scout Happy Burthday from me!

I always enjoy the birthday shots of your girls and their knives, Barrett!:thumbsup::cool:
(Except for the reminder of how fast time is passing - can't believe Scout is already 3 years old!)

Thanks for the kind words, guys! You’re right, GT, time certainly flies (sometimes too fast, it feels).

Cleaned and stained our deck last Wednesday and Thursday, and then put the furniture and rug out today so I'm ready for the weekend.

This little Acrylic arrived today and I'm really liking it.

Looks great, Paul. Power washing and staining the decks is on my agenda for this summer,
too. It’s one item on a long list of home projects, some DIY, and some just expensive (like a roof), that I’ve got to try and get done. 🙄🤣

Good looking trio. What’s the shadow pattern in the middle?

Beautiful TC!

Dark and a bit rainy here today. I’m carrying this LionSteel that hadn’t seen any pocket time in a while.

Spent three hours on a ten foot step ladder up and down, up and down, up and down, yesterday changing out swamp cooler panels and pads. So sore today that I'll only venture out as far as the back yard to sit in the sun with Coco. Blade Forum Bunny #525 (Bushy Tail) and a Case Bunny 35 1/2 (Hard Tail) will suffice for today.

That’s a really nice gift! I collect them, but I only buy them used and from fleamarkets. The finish mostly aren’t perfect and they all seem to “lean” to the nailnick side when closed. But they’re good looking, sturdy, sharp and has amazing action.

Would be very interested to see your knife and hear your honest thoughts.
I had my knives packed for a five day trip, but you’ve inspired me to slip the Loewn into my pocket.
This is an old one, with impeccable snap, fit, and alignment. It has a chip, but in use, it’s entirely unnoticeable. It serves as a reminder that everyone needs at least one TL-29.BB05F464-474B-4775-8946-F2702C8D94A9.jpeg1C76A197-8AD9-43C2-9F57-BA25BE4B239D.jpeg
Haven’t been posting much lately, just way too busy with work. Fair amount of fieldwork (besides my report writing duties) and when I’m in field, I tend to carry these Case knives…tough, stainless and not too expensive…leatherwork by my dad (who did these pieces in last couple of years and he is now 87).View attachment 2189855
This made me smile. Your Dad’s awesome.

Amazing example! This version is probably from between 1960s to early 1980s. The handle is slimmer and the finish better on the older models. It could be older, but then I have to see the tangstamp.

If you’re interested in getting a newer model just let me know, although the VAT can possibly cause the price to become an obstacle.

Case Pocket Hunter on box-opening duty today. Couldn't find a simple audio stand anywhere local, had to order one. Finally, my old restored Marantz is out of the shipping box, off the floor, on the rack, hooked up and making jams. 🤓

Gordon, glad your rack is together. That's a grand piece of audio history.
I'm sure your fine Case hunter had no trouble at all.

I'm glad there is another audio buff in the crowd.

Thanks Bob. Stuff like today is most of what my knives get used for these days, nothing tough anymore.

I'm sure there's more than a couple of us audio heads here. :)

I've really missed having a proper stereo setup the last 5+ years. Better sound that doesn't require headphones. Feels good man.

Nothing like a room filled with good sound.
Happy for you.
