We came home about 1:30 this afternoon to find Coco at the bottom of the back porch steps laying on the sidewalk. Her haunches being what they are, she could barely get up and couldn't stand for more than a few seconds. I told Cindy; "that's it, I'm calling the vet. The vet took us in right away and we had her put Coco down. No more pain or suffering. She was looking Cindy and I in our eyes as she passed over the Rainbow Bridge. I'm sure you guys/gals/youngsters won't mind if I don't include a picture of a knife in this post.

So sorry to hear about Coco, Ed. It’s never an easy decision but there is some solace to know she is no longer in pain.

Modoc ED Modoc ED sincere condolences on your loss. Our mini schnauzer slept in bed with us. Hardest thing I ever did was hold her at the vets as she crossed. Cried more for her than when my dad passed.

Headed to the big box store for something to BBQ, wife wants boston butt. Going to be nice here the next couple days. That little fixed blade is sure handy breaking down boxes for the recycle bin.
