What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

So very sorry to hear about Coco.
I lost my boy Dash a little over a year ago in almost the exact same scenario … that decision is always tough but clearly you made it with her best interests at heart.
Pets are such pure spirits, we are poor by comparison and certainly better for having had them in our lives.
Try and take some solace in the time you shared together.

Sounds awesome, Jeff. Enjoy your time with your loved ones.

Great group of knives my friend 😃

Have a great trip Jeff :)

Interesting knife

Nice pairing Tyson :) When I first moved to where I live now, less than 2 miles from the centre of one of England's biggest cities, I was astonished to come across a large bird, early one Sunday morning. Thankfully, a few other people saw it too, otherwise I'd have thought I was hallucinating! None of us knew what on earth it was though. Some either neighbours found it in their back garden, and identified it as a Golden Peacock! How on earth it got here, or where it escaped from we never discovered! o_O

Thanks JJ, yes, Tool Man keeps me on my toes, I must be the longest serving unpaid market stall apprentice in history! :D

I always think that those two vintage beauties pair perfectly my friend :)

Cool pic Pete, hope you have a great weekend :)

Charlie Lamb and a Varusteleka Terava Mini-Skrama for me today

Excellent pairing! 🤠

Being prepared for all occasions is important Jeff and you did it with panache. Nice choices.
Thanks, my friends!🤙

We came home about 1:30 this afternoon to find Coco at the bottom of the back porch steps laying on the sidewalk. Her haunches being what they are, she could barely get up and couldn't stand for more than a few seconds. I told Cindy; "that's it, I'm calling the vet. The vet took us in right away and we had her put Coco down. No more pain or suffering. She was looking Cindy and I in our eyes as she passed over the Rainbow Bridge. I'm sure you guys/gals/youngsters won't mind if I don't include a picture of a knife in this post.

I am so sorry for your loss.

Back to the Electrician on a foggy morning.

Great photo of a fantastic knife, Mike!:thumbsup::cool:
Electrician is probably my favorite Alox model - I think of it as a SAK "cattle knife" pattern. ;)

Love the lamb parade Gary and Jeff.
Thanks, Bob. :)

Toting a couple wood covered jacks from opposite sides of the globe. :)
Elegant international wood duo, JJ!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Good morning everyone. Off to a pro-am golf tourney; where several teams seem to forget how to keep score🤨View attachment 2189705
Superb pair of slicers that undoubtedly helped cut a couple of strokes off your score!🤓

Yup. It works about like a sak.
That's good to hear (and hard to beat)!:cool::thumbsup:

Thank you for your kind words Gary !

It can be challenging getting a good shot in the sun and it usually takes me a few tries to get a good one 👍
You're welcome, Steve. :)
Yeah, I don't think I could participate here if it weren't for digital cameras for which the cost of each shot is negligible.

Thank you GT. :thumbsup::thumbsup:😊
I doubt the other two would help with de-stemming strawberries, but, I used the big Kabar MK2 Utility to slice up some potatoes and a roast I cooked last week. I would say that I have other knives that might have done it better/easier, but, not by much. ;)😊 The bayonet is not much good for using, just like it ....... might do good if a bear attacked me and I had no firearm. 🤣 🗡️
I suppose the uses of a particular knife are often only limited by our imaginations (or lack thereof)!:cool::cool:

Your critter Lamb looks really nice all lit up Mr. R.😍

Back when I was a young golfer, occasionally a Circuit Judge would join our foursome. He never scored worse than a bogey. Not much anybody would object ...... everyone knew he was a poor golfer and had considerable influence ................ or worse ..... could jail them.

When he got to bogey ..... he picked his ball up and put it in his pocket. One day ...... when I feeling a bit courageous, I mentioned to him that he hadn't even made the green before he picked his ball up. He replied "That's my handicap ..... shut up !" 🤬😖 He usually finished 18 holes about 17 over par ....... according to his score card.🤣
I gave up golfing quite a few years ago, but when I used to play regularly and would occasionally have a horrible hole, I'd often say, "Put me down for a 9; you can't fit double digits in that little space on the scorecard."

Brave dog.
Yes, Manny has battle scars.
One night last year, I managed to separate him enough from a big boar so I could shoot it.
That sounds scary! I'm glad I've never lived anywhere that wild boars were a possibility.

This one doesn't get near the pocket time that it should.

Cherish the Churchills! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

View attachment 2189840Ms. Molly says 79 for today
Ms. Molly has excellent taste!:thumbsup:🤓
(And speaking of cherishing Churchills, I've always thought one way to improve that excellent knife would be to have a spear main instead of a clip. But the spear/sheepsfoot 2-bladed 79 Workhorse is probably the knife I'm dreaming of.)

...
Yes indeed my friend! :D The weather was nice, the view was good, my bed was very comfortable...and the rest was...interesting! :D I still find it hard to believe that I wasn't walking the streets of somewhere in a war-zone! ;)
...

Thanks buddy :) It is the same with my 3 daughters Gary, they don't seem to have any early memories, and the early memories my youngest daughter claims to have relate to events when she was only weeks old, and must be stories her older sisters have told her! :D

Hope everyone is having a good day :) Been a long one down at the market for me

Well, I guess there's more than one way for an experience to be unforgettable, Jack! o_O;)

When I was 5 years old, my grandfather sold his dairy farm to my Dad, and we "switched houses" as part of the deal. I have a clear memory of pulling my little red wagon, loaded with our refrigerator, across the orchard/pasture from one house to the other. Can't possibly have happened, though.🤓

Couple of venerable classics, Steve!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I have my new Buck 110 today.

View attachment 2189945
I'm glad to have an iconic old Buck 110 from the 1960s, but I almost never carry it, in part because I think the original clip blade is one of the ugliest traditional blades I've ever seen, and I'm not very fond of the brass bolsters, either. But your drop point version with the nickel silver (?) bolsters looks fantastic!:cool::thumbsup:

Cool old jackknife!:cool::thumbsup: What company made it? I'm having trouble reading the tang stamp.

I had these two old buddies with me today. :)
Notable pair, JJ; always a thrill to see that CJ Barlow!:cool::cool:
