What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I've seen "two barlow days" and "two lambsfoot days" and "two trapper days" and so on around these parts. I'm indulging in a two strong clip point day.

Befuddled, you query, "But why two knives with the same type of blade, Tyson? Why?"

I sigh, look away and reply, "I don't know. I dunno?" I sigh, then turn and look you straight in the eye. "I don't know. But I'm doing it. Two strong clip points. Right here. In my pocket all day today."

I’m with you, I do that all the time! Sometimes even three. Three you say? Yes sir, three.

We came home about 1:30 this afternoon to find Coco at the bottom of the back porch steps laying on the sidewalk. Her haunches being what they are, she could barely get up and couldn't stand for more than a few seconds. I told Cindy; "that's it, I'm calling the vet. The vet took us in right away and we had her put Coco down. No more pain or suffering. She was looking Cindy and I in our eyes as she passed over the Rainbow Bridge. I'm sure you guys/gals/youngsters won't mind if I don't include a picture of a knife in this post.

Sorry about Coco, Ed. At least she's not in pain anymore & you were there with her. I think that's important to them.
One of our labs is getting pretty close too. He's been my helper for 13 years. He's always been there with me, because he thinks I can't do anything without his supervision. But he's having trouble getting around sometimes & gets short of breath with very little exertion.

Sorry about Coco, Ed. It’s always hard to know when it’s time but it sounds like she let you know.

Sorry to hear about your dog Coco, Modoc Ed. These thing aren’t easy, but it sounds like you did all the right things, nobody can’t demand more than that. I’m happy she was with family when she passed and you all got to say goodbye

Another reason to hate geese- they spoiled our attack on Rome.

🤣 :thumbsup:
Understandable. Both can be meaner than dogs ... I knew a guy in south central Missouri who had to spend more than one night in his car (windows up) because his peacocks and/or geese would not let him get out of the car.
The Wolves or Pumas (he claims) took the birds.
Blimey! :eek::thumbsup:

It is a great sadness and a huge emptiness when they leave us but they accompany us through the places that remind us of the good times spent together.
Moments of joy to see them again in thought with a little melancholy because it revives the emptiness that they leave.Good courage to you in this sad period
