What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

@Modoc ED sincere condolences on your loss. Our mini schnauzer slept in bed with us. Hardest thing I ever did was hold her at the vets as she crossed. Cried more for her than when my dad passed.

Headed to the big box store for something to BBQ, wife wants boston butt. Going to be nice here the next couple days. That little fixed blade is sure handy breaking down boxes for the recycle bin.

Those sure pair up nicely

We came home about 1:30 this afternoon to find Coco at the bottom of the back porch steps laying on the sidewalk. Her haunches being what they are, she could barely get up and couldn't stand for more than a few seconds. I told Cindy; "that's it, I'm calling the vet. The vet took us in right away and we had her put Coco down. No more pain or suffering. She was looking Cindy and I in our eyes as she passed over the Rainbow Bridge. I'm sure you guys/gals/youngsters won't mind if I don't include a picture of a knife in this post.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Ed. Nothing hits like losing an old friend. She was a beautiful dog.

Nice Farm Boy, Paul! (The other one ain’t too bad, either.) 😉

Celebrating Joseph’s 13th birthday exactly the way he wants to do it…spotting trains. Came down to Atlanta to watch a bunch come through this CSX/Norfolk Southern junction. Dad may or may have not jumped the fence to snag a souvenir birthday present railroad spike.

I know a few pubs that keep them as alarm birds, but they're more commonly associated with stately homes here, with geese being another traditional alternative to dogs

What about swans? 😉🤣

So sorry to hear this, Ed. It’s a tough thing, but at least she’s not in pain anymore. I hope you and Cindy are doing ok.

Two favorites today. This Boker is so awesome. M4 Sherman damascus. Does it get cooler then that? The beautiful '19 lamb to accompany it today.

I’ve got this #56, which just arrived today, sharpened up and in my pocket. Wasn’t sure I was going to get in on these, but I’m glad I got one.
