Winners of the June Carry Election (by a landslide) are: Bunny Jack and D.E. Jack Canoe 🎉👯🎉

They are residing in my pocket, awaiting use now. 👍
Primary Pocket carry is not scheduled/anticipated to change until 07-01-2023. If some unforseen cutting task that is "beyond" these two comes up (is that possible?), I will add the appropriate knife (if I have one) for the day(s) needed.

Belt carry (2x SAK + LM) and Rollator carry:

I approve of your June winners. 👌

Great photo, Barr. I’ve scrolled back to it several times. 😜
Your shadow reminds me of a comic book or cartoon character, but can’t put my finger on it.
Thanks buddy !
I shoud have asked for whatever details you want to share about the hunt. We see a lot with worn down steel, but you held out for one with full blades. 🤙
Those two pair nicely Paul :)

A couple of fine gifts, Jack!
Very generous folks in here!

Decided to do a Thrifty Thursday.
Back when I was a kid, Sabre was the budget friendly choice for everyday folks who couldn’t spring for an Imperial or Colonial, much less a Schrade, Camillus, or Case. As I recall, there was a display of Sabre pocket knives in just about every hardware store and gas station. My old fish knife is a yellow Sabre that my Thrifty Scot Grandpa bought me when I was 7 or 8, meaning 1964, or ‘65. And I hope to put it to use soon!

Potatoes are taking off after a late start from the cool nights.0F20EB38-4978-4A53-A3EA-DFFE57A2AE2B.jpeg
Some tomatoes getting conditioned outside of the greenhouse. They don’t look very big, but the roots are now filling out in the containers, so out they go. I’ve been holding back because it’s been so chilly at night. Put out 24 yesterday ~ Mortgage Lifter, Dominico (my size champ last year ~ nearing three pound tomatoes), Purple Russian, Watermelon Beef Steak (anew one for me, supposed to produce giant fruits), and a couple Super Sioux and Powers Heirloom.
That leaves nine more varieties, including some paste types, and cheeries. It looks a little crazy, but given that my tomato seed supplier carries somewher around 150 varieties of heirloom tomatoes, some quite rare, I keep trying different ones while sticking with the ones that perform best for me, based on disease resistance, productivity, and above all, taste.
Best tasting? Cherokee Chocolate. That’s what these are.887A6007-CF5A-4F5F-9A4F-EBBA683F8B09.jpeg
A better photo of the Sabre Grandad Barlow. I think the bone is great. Sawcut and well fitted by Japanese cutlers.BF944097-B66E-484C-BDE1-5829FD1F2F60.jpeg

Sorry for rambling.🫣

EDIT~ Thrifty Thursday, but it’s Wednesday, aint it? I get mixed up. Still fighting this covid like, but not covid bug. 😬

Great looking old knife Jeff.
It looks like you have some busy days ahead of you...but the " fruits " of your labor, I'm sure, will be worth the effort.

Got back from Tennessee last night. For the last 10 days the only three traditionals I carried were the Pony Jack, Rambler and Electrician. All acquitted themselves well. ramblerPJelect.JPG

Continued on today with the PJ seeing as its wood, and its Wednesday.
