What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

All plans fell apart yesterday when we got word that Cindy's sister-in-law was rushed to the hospital. She lives just up the road from us. So, we're doing the Wagon Wheel Cafe and grocery shopping routine today and adding a visit to the hospital in the rotation somewhere. I'll be carrying the dynamic duo today - Bunny #525 and Buck 055 - the Buck in it's sheath on my belt.

Hope she'll be OK Ed

“Best wishes, Frank!”
😶
Lmao, not sure who Frank is but you might want to check what’s in them antibiotics!
Just messing with you, hope you’re feeling better …
😉
Oh man. I’m sorry about that, Paul. It is Paul,, right Mr Edgy?
It would be nice to blame the meds, but I’m afraid it’s Old Age combined with posting too fasr.

You can go into your profile, and add a sugnature with your name to help us fogies from embarassing ourselves…😁

I have an EL34 based stereo amp. NOS were mucho dinero. I've had good luck with Russian tubes vs Chinese, but wonder what supply is like given the current state of affairs. Its been a while since I bought a set.
Bugle boys and mallards are off the charts. There are still a number of good mid price tubes Mike, like genalex.

Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund Glad you're feeling a bit better. Dig that Walden linesman, a step up from the loose bakelite scales on my TL29. Jealous of your garlic especially, we eat tons of organic garlic and it's really expensive here.
Modoc ED Modoc ED hope the wife's sister in law bounces back fast. You really deserve a break! Hope the Wagon Wheel gives you the energy you need, you do a lot for an 80 year old - hope I can do as well someday.

Totin my Schrade 294, which for me is about perfect, along with the Schrade Walden Linesman. Posed on a garlic plant.View attachment 2211628
My garlic patch is about 12’X15’. View attachment 2211629If anything in my garden is marketable, it’s probably going to be garlic. I have been selecting the largest bulbs for re-planting each fall, and it’s paying off. The plants are just starting to form scapes, which you can see here.View attachment 2211635 That’s where the plant would flower and produce seeds. We cut those off (and eat them), so the plant puts all it’s energy into growing a larger bulb.
Potatoes and beets looking good. On the left is a row of turnips just starting to poke up, and left of thet, two rows of bush yellow wax beans which should pop up soon.View attachment 2211630
Walking out front, I took a photo of these two little Redbuds, which always make my think of my son. View attachment 2211632At my parent’s church, the church I grew up in, and we were married in 42 years ago, they built a Memorial Garden in which we put some of his ashes. His brother chose the wording and scripture on his stones, Isaiah 43:1 ~ “Fear not, for I have redeemed you, I have called you by name, you are mine”
There’s an old Redbud by the Memorial Garden ftom which these tiny seedlings had spread. They were only six inches tall when I dug them out and saved them from the weed puller people.
So now, I think of him when I look at these nice little trees. View attachment 2211634

Have a fine day, my friends.
Glad you said the plants were garlic. I thought short corn.
Wonderful way to remember your son.

Yes, it’s Paul and … I do have a signature.
But to be fair, my signature says
“they call me Ed G … because I am”
in hopes of tipping people off that Ed G was intended to be the phonetic spelling of “edgy”.
But now they just called me Ed.
🙄
… or Frank
🤣🤣
