• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Had this one for a while. Finally cleaned up the edge and dropped it in the pocket. Almost too much for even hip pocket carry. Might have to pursue a sheathView attachment 2217682
Maybe you could try easing it into your pocket instead of cavalierly dropping it in?

🤣
Thanks, good buddy! Yes, Mr. Voos made good knives.
I wish he’d made others, like cattle knives, or trappers, but from what I’ve seen, all of his other knives were either little watch chain/jewelry type knives, and tablewear.
There’s another Voos, Emil. While ā€œmy Mr. Voos emigrated to the US, Emil rsnained in Germany. He is much more well known. He made a lot of daggers and fighting knives, and hunting knives.

I guess y’all are probably sayin to yourselves, ā€œSelf, what kind of goofball quotes his own post?ā€

This goofball, apparently.
Our friend Bob sent me a message with some interesting info on Voos. Interesting and contradictory to what I said above.

He was kind enough to correct me privately, but I value truth over ego, so let this be proof that I am still in the category the professionals call ā€œEducableā€.

I’d sure like to see one of these in the flesh!

It's been a minute since I carried this sharp looking knife. Thanks again, @Modoc ED !! Also, apologies to Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund that my guitar only has four strings...;)

Hey! Those strings are a LOT bigger, so you’re the man!šŸ‘Š

Did I mention that the pastor at church is also our bass player?šŸŽø

I never even heard of Voos before I stumbled onto BF and you still know more about them than I do, even if some of it was wrong šŸ˜›

Handsome pair Todd :)
Glad there wasn't much swelling, Jack. Maybe you'll be able to dance by Market Day this week! :thumbsup:šŸ¤“
Thanks Gary, I wish! :D
Outstanding pair, Jack! :cool::thumbsup::cool:
Thanks again buddy :)
Cool pic of your WCLF Pete
Since the nail nicks were already so low to the frame, I had to file down the spine, turning the main spear into a narrow sheepsfoot. I did my best to blend the swedge, but it's not perfect. Perfectly usable knife now, though.

Great-looking pair Steve :) I met a girl called Rosie at the weekend, and had to stop myself saying, "I've got a mate with a knife called Rosie!" 🤣
I might be there already.

I don't have a rotation chart like yours, so I don't have to worry about it.

"Truth over Ego" makes a great motto. šŸ‘

I'm inspired to carry my Voos today. It's another knife that required a little reshaping of blades.

I think my knife toting theme this week is to read this thread while drinking my first coffee, see a post with a cool knife and remembering "Hey, I have one of those! I'll carry it today!" 😃

Please don't stop! Great knives and warm, inviting pictures :)

So that's your defense Ed? "Well, they're the ones that gave me a license!"? 🤣 With a sense of humor like yours, you'll probably get away with whatever it is. Just keep blasting that Amy Winehouse ;)

Thanks for your interest.
Nice photo, I really like the handle of this knife and the patina of the blade.

Have a nice day :)
